We can say the same about quite a few players and not getting a chance. Gueye and Sokler haven't been helped by the form of Miovski and us playing one striker up front for the most part of the season.

I have a feeling that a lot of the headline figures thrown about with the signings of Morris and Gueye are incentive based, which we will probably never get near to paying (I'm hopeful that is the case anyway). That said, Burrows was very prominent on Twitter about the Gueye signing last summer. Shyte like that has to stop as only adds pressure for the player to perform from day one.

        • Warnock says that he's being loaned to get some game time, and he will hopefully be back next season.

          • I predict that this will be a great move for him, that he will get a job in Papa G’s pizzas, that he will grow as a person and come back even more fluent in Norwegian - as for the football … .

He's not going to say he is shyte and won't give flock if he is back or not. He can't have been impressed with him.

It would take some turnaround for the boy to come back and prove himself with us.

Be nice if he did though.

He was a victim of a ridiculous recruitment policy, having 4 central strikers in a 5 at the back hoofball system and 90% of the time playing 1 of them up front

Now in Warnocks system its more of a 4-3-3 and only DUK out of the 4 can do a job in a wide area

He said in his interview with his new club that he can play as a striker or a winger.

Anytime I saw him play he didn’t look like he could play football at all.

Whoever was involved in deciding that we should pay £500k for him should no longer be at the club.

                      • His ball control is pretty terrible - thought he would have decent technique after playing in Belgium

He's like a slightly better Calvin Zola

At least we can say Zola scored for us.

I know Gueye had fitness issues, but when you seen him on the pitch (however fleeting), there wasn't much about the loon that filled you with confidence.

True! I'd forgotten - he scored a few for us at least? I quite liked the guy - just not as a footballer

Hopefully its a confidence issue with Gueye and more games and a manager that plays decent football can get the best out of him - we need to see some kind of return on that outlay

I know with where we're at as a club every transfer won't be a hit but theres been a fair few stinkers mixed in amongst the Miovskis and Duk's

There has been a lot of upheaval in the scouting/ transfer department too though - hopefully a settled team will bring better results

Also - maybe not for this thread but I'd like to see at least two from the youth get established in the first team - I think Mackenzie is getting better and Barron will be a loss but can't see anyone else getting many games? Really wanted Ryan Duncan to make progress but he seems to have plateaued

MacKenzie is benefitting from a run of games in a settled position. (It's amazing what a run of games can do for most players). Still a target for many, but I hope his progress continues. I feel he just needs a bit more belief in himself.

Not sure on Duncan. First time I saw him play I thought we had a player on our hands, but just hasn't happened for him.

A loan would be in his interests if not getting game time with us. Still see him as a player who is best played behind our strikers, never a winger though. I've not given up hope with him.

Hopeful that Milne gets a run, seems to have something and also looking forward to Bavidge returning for next season.

About the limit of my knowledge of our younger players. Would rather we stuck by our kids than sign some of the dross we have signed over the years.

                              • From what I've seen, I've no clue what Ryan Duncan's best position is.
Doesn't seem to have the early zip for the wide role in which he's very often deployed.
Don't know if he's got the "Oomph" to play as a sitter.
Don't know if he's got the fitba (yet) for a creative/advanced role.
