I?m assuming we?re bringing him in to play LB?

Moot right now I guess as this is end of their close season so prob won?t see him right away.

Well done Aberdeen in getting these guys in now and not last day of the window.

Apparently still strong rumours of someone coming in from within the league?
I don't reckon any of them won't be playing.
We played Okkels, who has hardly played for over a year, for over 79 minutes on Sunday and Tobers got 65 minutes too and he has not long come back from injury.

If true, it would be interesting to know who this mystery player is from within the league.

Haven't heard anything else bar the Norwegian striker and that seems to have gone away.

Apparently that prick Andy Halliday was on the radio last night saying that ?Aberdeen are about to sign someone from one of their rivals? and ?It was a friend of his? . I havent heard it myself but it?s on a podcast according to my mate.

Hopefully its not Shankland we are after

      • James Forrest anyone?

Thelin is looking at the Scottish market (and was probably forced by the club) Kimpioka at St.Johnstone in another known to Thelin.

        Could get interesting

        • The clubs policy of signing players from all over the world is great but I guess we are going to have to sign some Scottish players at some point.

Im not completely sure but I think you need 8 home grown players in your squad for Europe?

I appreciate the run we have been on recently doesnt breed too much confidence of getting into Europe next season but there is still a chance if we get our act together.

I cant see us wanting to sign him.

Aye prob best thing for all parties at this stage.
Some folk have just never taken to the guy and the abuse he is getting elsewhere is beyond the pale. We have some right utter morons in our support.

We always give our home grown players a hard time.

Think he needs a move and hasn't looked happy this season alongside Nilsen. Seems to be a clash.

Wednesday are a big club with a large support. He has a chance to prove himself and stick two fingers up to the mongs in our support.

Of course it could be a load of shyte.

Remarked at start of the season that as much as I loved Nilsen coming in and directing operations and bossing ab’dy left, right and centre, had he come in to my work and done that my back would be right up. Can understand if it’s got up folks noses.

I like Jack, thought he’d be our new Consi, the local stalwart. I also think he’s a better player than he gets credit for.
He?s been unlucky in timing of his contract ending in that there’s still lingering animosity over Barron and folk have leapt to put 2 & 2 together re him following suit. I just don’t see him going there. Hope I’m proven right.

                        • I wouldnt say I have been McKenzies biggest fan but it?s got nothing to do with him being a homegrown player.

Theres been spells this season and last season where he has been good but like most of the players in the last few seasons he has been poor as well.

I would have been happy if he decided to stay because I think he would have got more consistent in the next few years.

Good luck to him though I hope he does well but I think he will find it tough to get in their team ahead of Max Lowe who seems to have a lot of experience at that level since his loan spell with us.

I like Nilsen, but he's no Willie Miller. No point pointing and shouting at players when your next pass goes to the opposition. I could understand some players annoyed at that, especially the managers very own signing.

Going by what I saw on the pitch, that was what was getting to Jack.

I only saw Miller in his last few years, but I doubt Jack would have survived shouting at Willie on the pitch.

My first away game at St.Mirren, Ian Robertson made a tiny mistake. Miller & McLeish went right through him on the pitch. I thought it was a bit out of order to be honest but the two of them liked to keep standards high
