I don’t actually mind McCrorie,he’s not as bad as some people try to make out.

At the same time if he wants to leave it wouldn’t be the end of the world,he’s replaceable.

I was critical of him earlier in the season when playing in a back three.

He has undoubtedly done well at RB/RWB and has a great engine for getting up and down the pitch.

If the bid is true, then it will come down to wages and sadly we just can't compete.

He's 25 so entering his peak football years and is contracted until 2026 so given he has played very well in the wing back position I would say that £2M is too low and would be holding out for more money - teams in the Championship have plenty money to spend

McCrorie is a decent player with a lot of pace and power and he is also very versatile, so he ticks a lot of boxes. He lacks composure at times though and isn’t great in front of goal. On the whole, I feel that we’d miss a player of this type but if he gets an offer to make around £15-20K per week at his age he’ll be away but £2M is light - I’d say he’s worth at least double that.

We have far too many that have to go without selling every player that might be worth a bob or two.

Hopefully money coming in from Europe as well as it being tempting for players to stay.

Most of the absolute dross we bought, we gave contracts too.

Doesn't seem too long ago when we were all convinced that last summer's recruitment had put is in a good place for subsequent seasons.
