I remember being excited by his signing as the Notts County fans were genuinely miffed when he left.

Didn't see enough of the loon to give an opinion, but the fact he is back in the same level we signed him from must tell it's own story.

I was looking forward to seeing the lad playing too. Whether Robson doesn't like what he's seen in training, he's homesick or there's a genuine worry he'll be a permanent crock (he had previous for this)...it's probably for the best.

Can't really say he was a failed signing quality wise due to a bad injury...hope he gets his career back in track.

Apparently we have ended our pursuit of the Dutch defender Jay Idzes.

Club are confident a new defender will be incoming in the next few days.

A Tweet from Burrows on Thursday, claimed a new signing (we haven't been linked with previously) and a not so new signing to be announced soon.

I suspect Shinnie is the not so new signing.

Re Shinnie - apparently any players who are not paid on on time, more than three times in a season are allowed to serve their notice, cancel their contracts and leave on a free under the EFL rules (not sure about SPFL)

As Wigan have failed to pay their players on time on six separate occasions there are a raft of players to which this could apply

Wonder if we're going to pay anything for Shinnie - a nominal fee perhaps?
