Correct. All the amateur psychologists’ home-grown tadger-stream talk of extrinsic motivation by reward or punishment is just old man’s wânk.

If there’s non-existent intrinsic motivation, you’re starting two goals down. No fitba player worth a shirt thinks as he has the chance to contest a 50-50 with some brute in the opposition “there’s an extra grand in this for me”/“I could be subbed and dropped if I dinna contest this”. They’re competitors or they’re not.

We're having a shyte season in the league, no hiding from that fact, but as a club we would still be an attractive job for many good or bad managers.

Regardless of our current league status, we are still a well run club which is more than can be said for many others.

You said at the weekend you were concerned at how the club was being run make your mind up DeeDon

In all seriousness though it sounds as if the club is a shambles and we are being knocked back by numerous managers because they don’t want to work for Cormack and his fmb.

There will definitely be managers out there that would take the job but there’s probably a reason for that.

I know I did, but doesn't stop us being a well run club.

The first team is a bit of a joke at the moment, but the club overall is in decent enough shape.

At some point it'll click on the field for us and we can then troll Hearts forums about third place finishes and semi finals whilst still not knowing what regular relegation feels like.

As a business we are probably not in bad shape so from that side we are being well ran as such.
But as for a footballing side we are in a mess and nobody can deny that.
There are probably a few reasons for that, the main one probably being the interference of cormack into the footballing side of things. He should stick to running the business side of things and leave the manager and his team to do what they are employed to do.
One thing that we will probably never know, but would be interesting to know is how many potential candidates have actually been approached and offered the position and how many have knocked it back.

His lack of profile lately indicate he may be learning or is growing tired/bored of the sh*t show like the rest of us.

I just hope that whoever we get, we manage to get a good couple of seasons out of them and bring a bit of stability.

I tend to think he wont learn and his over inflated ego is a massive issue that is having a negative impact.
Totally agree that whoever takes the gig can come in and bring some much needed stability and the FMB and the fans have some patience as it's going to take a few years of solid stability to sort this sh1t out.

                  • Michael O’Neil could well be our new technical director. Stephen Robinson as boss….a double announcement. You heard it here first.

It's insight like that which shows why the embra minis are a perennial yo-yo team.

It's only a matter of time until your next relegation sunshine.

Lets see if we get one without points being taken off. I doubt it sunshine. Enjoy your play off, could be Dundee Utd and we know they are better than you

I heard a really funny story about one of your relegations. Can’t remember which one it was exactly, there’s too many. It involved a must win game, a £10 bet made about getting on the score sheet & an own goal

                              • It probably is going to be O'Neil, they just have to get the Scotland game out of the way first.

                                Or else they've got nobody.
