I thought he was here before Goodwin was the manager but you are right it was Gordon Marshall that was the goal keeping coach under Glass.

    • Jimmy says every player starts with a clean slate.

Does this mean the return of Vicente Besuijen to the team?

It will be like when Clough took over at Forest and took a young, unkept, Scottish midfielder with a questionable attitude, on his way out of the club and turned him into the player voted the greatest player in their history.

Not sure if it will be Vinnie, Shaymo, Duncan or Richardson he turns into a John Robertson type winger though.

        • You've more chance of winning Europa league than getting him as manager.

          • Thought it was the search to find this thread and bump it back up to the top.
As much as we all want it to work for any Aberdeen manager that comes in (yes even Neil Warnock) It must be pretty clear now that Thelin is skating on very thin ice and the inevitable is just around the corner, It is not really a question of IF he get's binned it's more a question of when.

The next step in the prawcess is who the fk do we bring in to replace him, or more accurately who the fk CAN we bring in.
I know I will get pelters here but we could do worse than have chat with Barry Robson and Scott Brown to see if they would be up for the challenge. I am quite sure that the together the pair of them have it them to get a tune out of these current shower of w@nkst@ins
Would also keep Peter Leven to work along with them.
This failed experiment has proven yet a again that most of the time brining in a manager from outwith the UK more often than not winna work.

Thanks for the Scottish cup win Jimmy, all the best in your next gig

            • Jeez. It's so depressing when this thread appears.

If you had told me last July that Shady Mo would win us the Scottish Cup and get player of the season, I would have been phoning Cornhill to get you sectioned.

It doesn't look good for Jimmy, nobody can deny that, but I still have a little bit of hope he turns it around.

              • The thing that astonishes me is the fact that from all our managers over the past few years, ... since McInnes, Robson's record is looking good .... second only ... in percentage terms ... to Peter Leven! PL is still with us .. I found that comforting as JT got his feet under the table ... but ... holy fk!

Much as Ah like JT, the cracks are in danger o' becomin' crevices ... if we're gonna wave 'bye bye Yimmie' ... Ah'm nae sayin' there's a hurry ... but prob best do it while we still have Leven tae dae a job he at least has experience o'.

                • Trio of Barry Robson, Scott Brown and Peter Leven would surely be well able to get a decent tune out of this lot.
