  • New strip launch???

Rumour is a new strip launch tomorrow morning. If that's true I fancy it to be red with white trim

I hear we will be getting a special yellow strip for the big games.

Next season's away strip has been unveiled.

It's black, and it's called The North Sea.

It costs 70 (seventy) Great British Pounds for the top.

It does look quite smert to be fair, but it should surely be made out of wool - not for the obvious reason - but for the way folk buying it are getting absolutely fleeced.

Luckily, Im far too old to be going about in a fitba top, but 70 quid for a fitba sark - fuuck me!

When designin' a new strip, whether 1st choice, home, away, alternative, ... it's worth considerin' a wee bit o' proper science.

Peripheral vision canna discern colour. However, it does register movement and contrast.

As a proper fitba player, ye need tae be able tae see fit's happenin' 360 degrees aroon ... and if ye need tae see properly, ye need tae hae yer heid on a swivel, and hope ye dinna get dizzy!

We hae a slight advantage playin' in red in that it contrasts wi' the green o' the grass (except if a player is red/green colourblind - mair common than ye might think). Playin' in white is similarly 'standoot' .... a dark colour might be near enough as effective dependin on fit the opposition are wrapped in.

This new kit does little tae catch the peripheral vision a player might benefit fae in that split moment.

Dark blue and gold would be great contrastin' colours, if the gold could be allowed tae hae mair o' a 'flash' .... maybe a Hibsish dark blue body, gold sleeves and maybe a wide gold horizontal/vertical band? ... dark blue shorts wi gold flashes, ... gold socks wi dark blue tops ... ?

There's a reason wasps are yella an' black striped .... they're nae aboot sneakin' up on ye, they announce their arrival fae the corner o' yer eye! ... they're mair ... "hello .. Ah'm here ... Ah'm nae gan awa ... dinna f*ck wi ma ... if ye ken fit's good for ye!"

Just keep last seasons top with a 'Scottish Cup Winners 2025' badge on it.

Club shop is supposedly closed today, which usually happens the day before a new kit launch.

It's a thumbs down for me. Like a polo shirt you'd wear on the golf course.

Get's a thumbs down from me as well, but thankfully I am too fkn old for stotting about wearing a fitba sark these days anyway.
It does look a bit like a polo shirt you would wear on the golf course when you are out for a relaxing / lazy Sunday afternoon stroll along the kings links.
So I guess with that being said it does go hand in hand with our brand identity of being a shower of lazy b@rstewards

It's not a good one. As above I don't do fitba shirts, so I am not the market they are after.

My 18 year old messaged to say it looked shyte too.

I'll buy it when we win the league next season though.

I agree with the polo shirt golf comments.
Stone chino shorts and a pair of espadrilles to complete the look.
Can see me buying at end of season for ?15
