We've taken our team into Europe. Yes we have, oh yes we have.

Aberdeen will be in the UEFA Europa League play-off round. Victory in this round would put us in the Europa League and give us eight European games. Defeat drops us into the league stage of the Europa Conference League, giving us six games.

The draw is not until 4th August, with the matches played on 21st and 28th August.

I have no clue about seeding or who we might possibly face at this stage, although there are some tasty looking teams in the earlier rounds including Anderlecht, Shakhtar Donetsk, Utrecht and Braga.

I thought we had achieved group stage football in the UEFA Cup.

I'll have to leave my calendar free on Thursday nights next season regardless.

Commentator mentioned yesterday, after we went and won the Scottish Cup, that our upgraded Euro placing will be worth around 7-8 million to the club.

What a shame for Hibs and their manager of the year David Gray for not making the group stages of Europe after finishing 3rd

Unless there are an incredible number of upsets we will almost certainly be unseeded in the PO round as we have a lower coefficient than the significant majority of teams in the competition that are most likely to make the PO round

There's a lot of adverts on here for travel to Turkiye, and the Europa League final is being held in... Turkiye.

              Is it an omen?

The Conference League final is being held in Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena, in the unlikely event that we drop down into that competition.

The adverts you see are usually dependent on your own internet browsing history.

I doubt it. I haven't been looking for pictures of Kate Garraway in her bikini. Honest.

I've had a look at the latest on the European qualifying front, and it is confirmed we will be unseeded in the Europa League qualifying round. This is because of our low coefficient (we're ranked 161st in Europe).

Rangers are 25th in Europe somehow. Celtic are 59th and even Hearts are above us at 138th.

Right, so as I understand it, we won't know who we will be playing when the draw is made on Monday, unless we draw Young Boys.

The third qualifying round is still to be played, and so we probably won't know our opponents until after the second leg on 14th August. Our ties take place the following week, 21st and 28th August.
