Was thinking about putting this in Off Topic but thought it was the done thing just to keep anything and everything on the SF Board.

Only one change in the European team from 2 years ago and thats one twin replaced by the orher Nickoli Hoejgard (excuse the spelling) replaced by his twin Rasmus.

Seems Luke Donald knows his best starting line up more than Jimmy Thelin knows his.

What's the thoughts of fellow dandies for this years Ryder Cup??

Yes there is no doubt the yanks are a stronger team on paper.
But the same as football here as we dont play the match on paper.

Think Luke Donald will have the lads well fired up for this.

As a golfer, find most tournaments boring to watch- majors aside as long as it is close.
Used to love the Ryder Cup but the tribalism especially in the States has been brought on by the media hyping up to ridiculous level. Tribalism in football- absolutely. The more the better. In golf though? Not for me especially when half the ?fans? have not a clue what they are actually whooping for

I attended a Ryder Cup way back in the late 80's early 90's canna mind the exact year but it was a fantastic experience.
But now it's still got the competitiveness about it with the golfers. Its nae their fault that the media has blown it up and fcuked the golfing side of it for the true avid golfer and golfing fan
I am happy and fortunate to have attended it when i did (box ticked)
I will still watch it on the Telly but i would not bother attending it as that side of it now is totally fcuked up.

Think the "Europeans" will edge this one. Will be close tho

One for Europe and one for the EU countries.

Anyway it was the Belfry i attended it at 1989
The match was tied 14 - 14 so the European team retained it as they had previously won it 2 years before.
It was Europe against America none of this fkn EU malarkey back then.

For an avid golfer and golf fan back then it was a truly amazing experience as it was all about the golf.
Nowadays its all about the fkukin media and they have just totally fkd it.
Sam Ryder would surely turn in his grave.
