Apparently Aouchiche had a bit of a tantrum on the bench last night, when he was stripped to come on, then was told to wait.

Unfortunately it looks like we need to sack another manager and from what I have seen so far another massive overhaul of the squad is needed in 2026.
Thats incredible considering the amount of money we have spent. We have somehow made our squad worse since the beginning of last season and spent millions doing so.
I read elsewhere that Shaun Maloney was at the game on Saturday so people are speculating that he has been approached to replace Thelin.
If we appoint him as our next manager I will knock out all of Dave Cormacks teeth if I ever bump into him.

Quite simply it isn't, and hasn't been, working for Jimmy and his team for close to a year now.
Everyone warmed to him when he was first appointed and loved his humility when we were on that amazing run at the start of last season but we all knew it would come to an end eventually, just how spectacularly it has ended has caught us all by surprise.
Jimmy spoke, after the cup final, about lessons being learned with regards to changing things up tactically and formation wise depending on the opposition but he has shown nothing to suggest he actually believed that message himself. We've rigidly stuck to 4231 when everyone and their granny up here knows how to defend against that and with having inverted wingers then we never even get the ball in when there's a few players in the box to reap the rewards.
We genuinely never look like scoring again, and that's no exaggeration to say that. We could play for 120, 200, 300 minutes per game and have barely a shot on target recorded never mind actually bulging the net. We are slow, ponderous, disjointed, negative, individual and do nothing of note to excite the fans. We've all seen an AFC team lose by 4/5/6 goals before but this team strikes me as being the worst in an attacking sense that I can remember, and that includes teams with Leon Mike etc.
Jimmy has the cup win and we will forever hold him in legendary status for that BUT that will be eroded if he retains his position as manager as the levels of animosity and resentment amongst the fans will grow and grow as this turgid run continues.
I wish Jimmy all the best in his future endeavours and it's not often a football fan says that about a sacked manager but he needs to go and he needs to go now so Leven or a full time appointment can rescue this season as there is still a hell of a lot of games still to be played, cup competitions still to be entered and finishing in European positions come seasons end.
Regardless if he pulls off a miracle on Saturday against Motherwell his time is up for me, there's nothing at all to suggest that any victories in the league he gets now isn't down to pure luck rather than design.

I never saw Thelin saying this last night but apparently he said Clarkson wasnt injured last night he was being rested for Saturdays game against Motherwell.Originally posted by TheDeeDon View PostApparently Aouchiche had a bit of a tantrum on the bench last night, when he was stripped to come on, then was told to wait.
Considering Clarkson only came on as a sub against Motherwell last weekend I seriously doubt he was being rested for next Saturdays game.
Along with Devlin being punted to play Forfar in the challenge cup and Shinnie not even coming on last night I suspect these guys have had a go at Thelins tactics / formation and he has left them out.

Still seems a bit unusual for Devlin to be sent to play for the youth team.Originally posted by TheDeeDon View PostDevlin was suspended for last nights game, but was good to play for the young dons at Forfar.
What benefit is Devlin getting from that?
Its not like he has just come back from an injury and needs game time he was playing at the weekend.

For a guy who has trained with some good quality players he cannot make a decent pass to save himself. I cannot stand players who constantly make bad passes as it is unprofessional as f@ck. He takes too long to make a pass and makes it very easy for opposing players to read the pass.Originally posted by TheDeeDon View PostApparently Aouchiche had a bit of a tantrum on the bench last night, when he was stripped to come on, then was told to wait.
A shockingly bad player who we all probably expected more of.
Karlsson is a good bit off it as well. Who in their right mind would have paid ?10m for him.
I suppose I could go through the lot of them.
Nisbet is another. We expected better from him. His movement is all wrong and in my books he is a very lazy player. Steve Cowan was saying the very thing I am speaking about regarding Nisbet.
Lazetic should be given a go instead of him as the 4-2-3-1 doesn?t suit Nisbet.
Shinnie not featuring at all was absolutely no surprise. About the only thing Jimmy Thelin got right.

Out of curiosity is there any player we have or have had in the past 5 years that you rate?Originally posted by RED_JOHN View PostFor a guy who has trained with some good quality players he cannot make a decent pass to save himself. I agree that a lot of the players we have had in recent years have not been good enough but there must be some players that you like?

It was a very weird decision playing both Devlin and Lazetic at Forfar. Tobers and Frame yes.Originally posted by rico94 View PostStill seems a bit unusual for Devlin to be sent to play for the youth team.

Who knows.
I suppose we will get the answers at Motherwell on Saturday.

Amongst all the doom and gloom, the is a wee glimmer of hope. I see a team of very skilled/talented individuals who just need to bang their fkn heads together and realise they are part of a team ... not game changers, but game makers. ... not lords of their own position/role/run ... but 'hubs'/connections ... with a shared destination ... ie ... ball ---> net!
I see some clever exchanges going down ... even in the worst games. I see clever individual efforts ... and I also see fight and determination ..... but as a team? We are honkin' ... Big up for Dorrington tho .... there is a player who knows his role, and very much in the Willie Miller role ... defender first and foremost .. if the ball is in our box/half ... nae fannyin' aboot ... jist blooter it! ... simple ... yet effective.

This is wake up time, for those that think we dont need to. We are in a relegation battle already, we have not even looked close to beating any one.Originally posted by NaeMairNeeps View PostAmongst all the doom and gloom, the is a wee glimmer of hope. Thelin had turned us into a top 6 team to relegation candidates. Worst transfer window of recent years I can remember. All the signings have basically been a step down to who they had replaced.
Everyone can say early doors , its no even Xmas yet. Look at the form table.
We are down unless we dont sack Thelin
