I’m surprised at the negativity Shad. With your games in hand the play offs are still surely within your grasp. I know losing DKD was a blow and maybe Tom Bradshaw wasn’t most people’s ideal replacement but he’s experienced and has a good goal scoring record. Look at players you still have in Clearly, Banks, Luca and Philips, all, players who can do damage so I’m surprised you’d settle for a point today. We’re not exactly a settled side ourselves and whilst I think this window has strengthened us I still wait to be convinced. It should be a day of the wide men today with Cleary andvBanks for you and Blackett-Taylor and Apter for us plus two extra wide men if we need them. So I suppose it’s about finishing and we’ve been poor at that not winning by more than one goal since early November and hanging on in most of them. For you though will McGoldrick be fit to start because he must be struggling a little playing the last two demanding games but then you need him to be at your strongest. We have to win this today to have any realistic chance of the automatics and you need the points for any chance of the play offs. So I see today as a critical game for us both and again probably won by the odd goal.

3-2 in the end 4 changes at half time gave us hope with massive improvement 2nd half.
This goalkeeper needs dropping he is nowhere near good enough, decent shot stopper but for someone who is big and tall to stay rooted to his line from corners and crosses is beyond baffling!
Jackson Smith kept yet another clean sheet for Grimsby and saved a penalty today!
