SSN stating we had a bid rejected for Watford youth Mamouda Doumbia of 10m which is a lot of money. Chelsea have agreed a deal of 25m for a Bournemouth reserve keeper (hope I got this right) who I never heard of. Newcastle wanting Trafford for not much more. Hard to make sense of this, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Bournemouth have signed 25 yo keeper Petrovic from Chelsea for a fee of 25 million. He has 7 caps for Serbia. Newcastle are reportedly asking 130 million plus for Isak (on contract till June 2028) but are seemingly not willing to meet Burnley’s valuation of Trafford. Cough up or sod off as others have previously commented.Originally posted by wmdave_b View PostSSN stating we had a bid rejected for Watford youth Mamouda Doumbia of 10m which is a lot of money. Why would Newcastle keep bidding higher when they are the only club in for him, and they know Burnley want shut?
This wrangling could go on well into August unless another club gets involved

Well this could get interesting if City really do want Trafford back. I hope that is the case because Newcastle have totally pissed me off.Originally posted by ballcock View PostWhy would Newcastle keep bidding higher when they are the only club in for him, and they know Burnley want shut?

Good luck to him if he goes to Newcastle because their defence today was terrible at Celtic. They got away with it a few matches last season but today was a shambles and wasn't helped by Nick Pope misjudging a kick down the field from Schmeichel which he tried to head and missed it to give an easy goal away.Originally posted by outwoodclaret View PostWell this could get interesting if City really do want Trafford back. I know that you can't judge friendlies, however, I judged their defence last season and it wasn't brilliant but they were the league's fourth leading scorers so, in the Eddie Howe fashion, you can score but we will score more ----nothing changes lol
