  • Walker is the only Prem player

Our squad turns into start struck fan boys more interested in swapping shirts than putting one over a top team. Dyche knew how to get the squad combative and resilient. We always performed well, even got results for Utd Liverpool, some decent cup results against top teams.

Kyle Walker is the best player I have seen a Turf Moor. Cullen should bow down on his knees, kiss his boots and instantly hand over the captains arm band.
Walker desire to win, every ball, every tackle, amazing 30 yard passes, I haven't seen a defensive error. His football IQ vs the rest of our dumb dumb squad is worlds apart.

Just now before half time he is the most forward player obviously pissed off and making a point before half time.

0 shots, 0 on target. (first half vs Arsenal)

10 of our squad are like rabbits in headlights, star struck little boys waiting for autotrophs off the proper footballers..

I hope Walker kicks the **** out of some of these soft arses!!

The second half was a better performance. We are not the only ones to lose to the Arse.

My only complaint is why SP persists with Josh Laurent and Bruun Larsen. We were a different team in the last 15 minutes with the subs - especially Hannibal. Laurent brings nothing to the team. Hannibal is tricky, looks to attack and, as we saw against Wolves, can pick a pass.

I am not complaining about loosing to Arsenal
but at least show desire, and hunger...

0 shots on goal mate, at home.

Leeds got battered away, at least had 3 shots on goal, Wolves got battered away and a man sent off at least had 2 shots on goal.

BTW did donkey Broja, the worst signing across the prem, even touch the ball... zero impact, terrible waste of money.

Well said FTD.The white flag was raised by the majority of our team and Cardy before they even walked on to the pitch.I will agree with the comments about Josh Laurent and JBL.Tchauma is far more of a threat as is Mehbri. However, I disagree about Walker being the only Prem standard player-so is Dobravka. They are the two stand out performers week in week out.

No Guys, disagree. We should have lost today, as would 90% of other teams in the league. Don’t say Dubravka and Walker are our only EPL standard players, you are over reacting.
Not sure how long Parker takes to learn Laurent isn’t the answer to playing superior teams. Second goal showed he was a mistake. JBL read the same

Just back so heres my view .

            Boring !

Today for me was a free hit for us and starting with 5 wasn't the answer.

Parker’s tactics were damage limitations in other words he set up theoretically to not lose by a large margin - I’ve said before and in say again he’s too negative.

Today didnt matter we wernt expected to get anything and we didnt.

Some critical comments above from some but here are mine

Laurent out of his depth - but in fairness to him asked to play a position he’s not used to.

The three centrally are constantly overrun because our wide players let balls into channels and at our back line ( the 5 does not suit us at all ).

Larson isn’t a starter is weak and doesn’t offer enough.

All the negatives for players and positives for Walker were ott however did you miss Hannibal coming on - best player at the club has time and not flustered keeps the ball and his first thought is forward ( he’s benched every week - Parker is wrong in his head ).

Loum also forward thinking player has to start in a 451 or 442

All the negative s for the players imo aren’t warranted - we played an exceptional team today who are what can only be described as efficient ( Declan rice is different class ) they get the job done - however I will say we played right into their hands trying to defend deep - for me I’d have just had a go - what I watched was boring.

Don't know if anyone saw the first goal. 100% not a corner. Dubravka had both hands on the ball and the ball was on the line. It was not a corner.

The injustice was magnified with the goal.

At times today Rice was pretty much unplayable. My gosh what a player this lad is and the ground he covered to nod in the second was Gerrardesque.

Without any argument Dubravka, Walker, Esteve, Tuanzebe, Hartman, Luis, Ugochukwa, Cullen, Anthony, Mejbri, Tchaouna, Flemming & Humphreys are all good enough for the EPL.

Arsenal are one heck of a well organised side with one of the world's best midfield players making them tick. Luis just got under the ball for a header that should have been put away, and Edwards hit the post with a sensational free kick at the death.

Anyone who was bored watching this game need to take up fishing or knitting.

Arteta has been running the Gunners for nigh on six years in the EPL and it took him time to win the EPL. Arsenal will walk the title and we gave them a game.

On today's performance we will stay up, no doubts for me now.

Another sensible post wmdave. I fully expected us to lose by three goals. Outplayed yes, outclassed yes but we did not fold like a Kompany XI was doing early season. We have had some tough fixtures and hopefully will have learnt from the experience. Tchaouna will surely get more game time as the season progresses.

I don't care how Parker had have gone about the game we would still have got beat, the gulf is massive between the 2 clubs in every shape and form

Army says it was a free hit, well Army if we had have employed Kompany style tactics (free for all) then the score line would have been CIBs prediction

Parker played the right game by trying to retain them in the 1st half, and then if the cause looked lost, throw the kitchen sink 2nd. We started 5 4 1 and finished 433

Arsenal games are damaged limitation. Keep the score down for the sake of the goal average and hope we don't get thrashed, and we didn't

Arsenal are out of our league. Our league is the bottom half of the Premier league a league in which to date we can compete in

Phuck the Gunners and bring on the hammers a side we can compete with and hopefully beat

Sick of the same gob ****es only coming on here when we get beat to slag the lads off
I wouldn't mind the ham shankers never even attended the matches

Part of what you say is correct ballcock amd no one acknowledges the different class more than me , everyone has an opinion and mine says starting in a 5 against a team like them was suicide ( now don't get me wrong im not saying. We stand toe to toe and slog it out ).

If everyone's happy with a manager who was accepting of defeat before we kicked a ball then so be it , our manager picks players who are not up to the job in hand when we have much stronger players sat on the bench.

I like everyone else didnt expect us to get anything from the game but i did think wed have a go at some point - loum is far more attack minded than others picked in front of him , and hannibal is the best footballer at the club - he has poise isnt rushed has time on the ball and looks after the ball, he is always looking to go or get people in behind and first thought is how can i influence the game going forward.

He has an issue in his game i admit but the manager has to sort that ( it’s what hes paid for ). The team is stronger with him in it regardless of all the slagging off he gets on here.

A little more ambition is what i would liked to have seen - Fleming gave his all against a stingy defence he won lots of headers but to no one as he raced around between Arsenals back 4 ( felt for him )

Reality is Arsenal are an efficient boring side if o had a choice of city or Arsenal I know who I’d pick to watch.

I maybe completely wrong and as I posted last week we were lucky to get a result as we retreated to our 18 yd box today we started that way and invited a very good pressing team onto us with some world class players.

My thinking is as I posted several times now pick the strongest 11 to start and don’t always start with 5 at the back - the wide men don’t cover the holes and or offer enough attacking wise - channels well enough and we end up defending our own box too much.

Why did we bother even having a go at all - pointless

You should take claret glasses off and actually watch the game every now and then - all our play consisted off was sitting deep and hoping we could break away - whilst the wide men let Walker and Hartman be consistently under pressure by not doing their jobs.

Name me one time a 1v1 where our wide men( that started the game ) went at their full backs to commit them - we left Fleming doing a Stirling job upsetting their centre backs and winning his fair share too , but no one close enough or with the will to get to him to get us up the pitch.

When we actually did manage to push up the pitch a little Laurent involved his confidence or his instructions were to go backwards ( it was there for all to see ).

Teams that are good at what they do and Arsenal are ( though boring ) exploit weakness in an instance.

Walker was so frustrated later on that he tried to help and shut down to help Fleming out a bit

I think in truth aswell Cullen - Ugo and Florentino are too similar and we get suffocated centrally and dragged out of shape as teams exploit the spaces behind the wide men.

Boring I said and boring it was - didn’t get me off my seat - we offered next to
Nothing and they were just efficient at exploiting weakness ( rices goal was the highlight really).

As I said for me if we aren’t going to try and win games before we kick a ball what’s the point ?

We had a plan A to try and frustrate ( I understand that ) but it wasn’t working we had decent possession ( all of it in our third to middle of park ).
So we had no pace in behind and no help for Fleming and our manager didn’t try once to alter that until he realised Anthony has had 3 games away with the fairies and isnt offering any threat or ambition - same at the other side as it goes.

                          Plan b - plan c ?

So you see my point - I love the club and always have but I watch football to enjoy it truth is we had no intention of having a go or changing it up - or real pace to worry them and for me Parker’s plan was not to get beat by many.

I’d rather have lost 5-2 or 6-3 and had a go than be bored by our lack of ambition

Pick the best 11 and try to win especially at home - it’s all a bit too nice for me - that’s good description of some of our players Nice .

I am with you Army88. As soon as the second goal goes in, or perhaps latest at half time. Remove the defensive shape and go in search of it. Take off Laurent non insurance policy, a failed experiment. Take off JBL and replace with Hannibal and Tchouna and have a right go, get the fans on the edge of their seats. Further subs to come later.
Positives for me were a silent Saka, and Eze for most of it. We have a really good bottom half team, premier league quality all over the pitch, but not Arsenal or Man City quality obviously.

It's almost Christmas so I'm going to dig deep and buy Scotty Parker a Magic Wand.

He will give it one wave and suddenly we will be able to take on and beat the best teams in Europe.

We will be able to rip new arseholes for teams who concede no goals in ten games, lose three times a year and then go to the Bernabeu and stuff Real Madrid.

Another wave of the wand might end the obvious bias the PMGOL referees show to the Big City teams. Yesterday was pfhucking embarrassing, every 50/50 call went to Arsenal, two non-corners awarded to the team who use corners as goals.

One other thing. We have 22 professional outfield footballers who practice or play almost every day and not one of them are capable of taking a corner like Declan Rice.

Every corner he takes is hit with laser like accuracy towards half a dozen 6 foot plus athletes who can attack the ball with unmatched ferocity.

I refuse to criticise the Clarets who matched the Gunners for large parts of this contest.

Unfortunately, we do not have a Declan Rice but we have Kyle Walker who is almost as good. COYC.
