  • Jimmy's gone.

Looks like Jimmy is away. ?Pep Guardiola?s side have matched a Newcastle offer of ?27million ($36.3m) with the player agreeing a five-year deal plus the option of a further 12 months to return to the club he left in June 2023."

I hope we have a pile of add-ons because this figure is nowhere near the hoped for ?40 million quid we valued him at.

Jens Cajuste is on his way from Ipswich. Central midfielder highly rated by the Ipswich fans.

Apparently it is the equivalent of 31m because of the sell-on clause when BFC bought him from City. Not a bad deal. The lad is a great shot stopper and his distribution is good but his uncertainty at set pieces and corners still needs a lot of work.Good luck to the lad.

He has improved since his last spell in the Prem but he is too casual with his passing out and was almost caught out on several occasions. He will need to be sharper, the Prem is less forgiving.

            Rubbish..

His foot work is his strength, he is a different class.

His footwork is not a problem, you are. You need to chill

              Trafford pass accuracy 70.34%
              Ederson 86.26%
              Ortega 79.40%

That is Jimmy in the Championship and Ederson in the PL.Facts tell the story BC.The gap is huge.
He is way behind in passing.Shot stopping though he is in front. His ability to command his box from set pieces and corners has improved slightly but is still questionable especially for such a big lad.Cash in and move on is whilst his stock is high.
He may come good on his weak points and be a world beater-good luck to the lad.

However we look at it, we are now in the deep do-do. Hladky is not good enough, Weiss an unknown quantity, Green & Casper still learning their trade. Help!

Don’t panic BT. Weiss has represented Germany at under 18/19/20 level. He does not have Bundesliga top flight experience but has only just turned 21. We may need to bring in a keeper with more EPL experience in the short term but we’ll see.

                    I see what I see.

Trafford is excellent playing the short passing game he never are rarely loses possession.
I don't know his stats when playing long and it really doesn't interest me. What does his the lads calmness and composure when he plays the ball out to the back 4 and the defencive midfielders.

It isn't a problem if he loses the ball going long it isn't going to cost you goals. What costs goals is when the likes of Muric lose concentration and composure and give the ball away when playing short

His weakness his is ability to command his area, though this won't be a problem and wasn't last season when he was surrounded by quality defenders, and a coaching staff who know how to set a defence out

We are better with him than without him that is for sure.

Definitely one of the best shot stoppers I have ever seen-he is top notch in that department.
Set pieces are key in the PL for a lot of teams and he will need to improve drastically in that area.He will also be under intense scrutiny now after this move and any mistakes will be highlighted.I dont think it will affect him though as he is very cool headed.

I think it is a good move for JT. He will not be the number 1 at City and will have time to further develop. I think we should be able to recruit a suitable replacement experienced at EPL level. Perhaps if Newcastle had not been so bloody tight-fisted he could have ended up there.

Talking of set pieces it is something we need to improve on. We only scored 1 goal from a corner last season, that must improve if we are to have any chance of survival

I cannot imagine we have a problem signing his replacement. They have known for more than 12 months he was going this summer, if they haven't got his replacement lined up it's deriliction of duty. Someone should be sacked.
