  • Brownhill departure official.

One Josh gone and will we have another Josh(Sargeant)to replace him I wonder.
I have criticised Josh a lot in the past but never questioned his effort and workrate.Last season we would not have been promoted without his contribution and goals from midfield as team Captain.
Thanks for everything and good luck to him in the future.

Since he first played for Preston in October 2013 as a 17 year old he has started 353 League games and come on as a sub in 52 matches.
That is a total of 405 League appearances in 12 seasons for Preston, Barnsley, Bristol City and the Clarets. That figure is quite incredible in the fact that he has averaged just under 34 appearances per season and that does not include any cup appearances.

He has scored 52 goals and has 35 assists in those games which means that he has been involved in a goal in just under every 5 games.

A very good professional who has done his job in spite of not being the top of any popularity poll. !76 league starts and 18 league sub appearances for the Clarets and scored 31 goals with 20 assists.

Thanks Josh for your time spent with the Clarets and I wish you well wherever you continue playing football.
Your brother, Lewis, was always a steady player when he represented the Royal Air Force and the Combined Services team and I watched him quite a lot -----a real footballing family, without doubt.

Earned his corn, unlike quite a number of players in the past couple of seasons. Not a hypocrite at all, just a professional footballer who knows that the fans don't want him at the club.
          Who are the hypocrites, BT?

Why do you keep on saying Burnley fans don't want him Supersub6? I have never, ever witnessed any fan negativity towards Brownhill. He could have extended his contract in January and given us the opportunity to make a profit on any potential sale. It's the platitudes and badge kissing that does my head in. I do not wish him well.

Strange message from Brownhill announcing his departure a month after he left the building. What's that all about ? Seems to me he's looking after
No 1, which is his privilege, it is what is, but it doesn't particularly endear
              me to him.

On here and every other board with any Burnley connection, the majority of fans are of the opinion that Brownhill is not good enough for the Premier League, in spite of the fact that he played 111 games in 3.5 seasons and was involved in 12 goals which was one tenth of goals which we scored during his time.
You think the fact that loads of fans don't think that he is good enough is not a negative?
He obviously does and is moving on for his own benefit to avoid more and more fans jumping on the bandwagon and criticising his performances although he has performed in more matches than most over the past few seasons.

I do not go along with badge kissing or anything else in that domain as far as any sport is concerned. Paid to do a job, get on and do it and Josh Brownhill has fulfilled his contract and is moving on. Good jpb that he is not Alexander Isak!

Only sad person is you BT with your dreadful attitude 😒

You just seem to view life through the mind of a 70s socialist who is envious and jealous of anyone who is trying to make their lifes better.

Brownhill would have been offered a contract extension and turned it down. The club new exactly where they stood. I am sure Josh left on good terms with no hard feelings

I don’t have any problem with Brownhill or CJER. They were not under contract and were free to leave. More worrying is anyone who is under contract but isn’t willing to give 100%.

That did not happen under Parker with the possible exception of Tresor. I'd love to know what goes on in that dude's head.

Looking like he could be joining Leicester City.

He knows his worth does Josh, at the top end of the championship.

Unfortunately never a Premier league player, this being the reason he hasn't been snapped up by the likes of Everton, West Ham and the other 2 promoted clubs

I think Josh might have priced himself out of the EPL/EFL market. He wouldn’t be the first player to find the grass is not always greener away from Turf Moor.

At least it's in his own, or his agent's hands, he can always accept a smaller signing on fee, or no signing on fee at all. Up to him.

Rumours are that Josh is going to Everton, which would be a dream move for him.

He would be linking up with Tarks & McNeil and still NW based
