Sorry I?ve not been keeping up folks, but life took a strange twist that has kept me abroad for a while so I?m not really up to speed with what?s happening with the Clarets, your preseason, signings and general view about how you?ll get on in the Prem this time.
How did you go on preseason?
    Any notable newbies?
Are you going to be ok this time around? Should have some dosh to throw at it from the Traff sale.

If you?re vaguely interested, our lot are wildly optimistic - again.

The Alan Pace outfit have bought La Liga side Espanyol.

Trafford gone, CJ Egan Riley gone, Brownhill gone. The backbone of the promotion winning season departed. ALK with divided loyalties.

No new striker. Midfield 2 players short. Loads of deadwood to shift.

Parker should receive the Freedom of Burnley if he keeps us up this season.

Any chance of spending the Traff money?

Sounds about right BT but nothing to worry about.Worst that can happen is we go back down to a proper league without the player tantrums, their ludicrous theatrics, the rusty screwdriver in your ear from the so-called pundits and last but not least the farcical VAR.
Back to a league which actually is far more competitive, unpredictable and more entertaining than watching your team being the whipping boys of a plastic league with the odds unfairly tilted towards the big clubs.

Blimey, Pace must have really tightened the purse strings - Huddersfield is short bus ride 😀
We played Orlando Pirates in Marbs, Hibs and Shrewsbury away and Preston at home.

We split the squad last Saturday with 2 away games. One at Shrewsbury which we drew 2-2 and the other at Huddersfield, won 0-2.

This Saturday we are doing the same with Wednesday at our training ground and Stoke away.

Week Saturday we have Lazio at home

                    16th August away to Spurs

Strange to split the squad imo but it might be down to different circumstances. We have sold our captain and our top goal scorer, signed about 10 with the income, promoted a few from the youth team, sent a few out on loan, told a few to find another club and it’s been mayhem - which is probably why everybody travelled and we’ve fielded two different teams in each half on some occasions - it’s been substastic. I suppose it’s been about getting strangers to learn about each other.

In typical Bolton style, three of the newbies were injured in the preseason and will be out for a few weeks.1
Results have been excellent winning every game but it’s only preseason and means nothing.

Hopefully Wednesday will be able to put out a team as the club’s finances are a mess and the players weren’t paid. I worry for them especially as we were staring liquidation in the face not long ago and were lucky enough to be saved by good people who may not be rich but care for the club and the community. Hope they get through it.

I am quite happy to travel up to Burnley for a meet up before the Lazio game if anyone is interested.

It isn't strange splitting the squad when it's has big as ours. Pre season is about fitness and they won't get fit, if they aren't playing

The referee sent Laurent off today in a "friendly". The idea moron is to let players get 90 minutes in. Just ask Parker to sub him and play someone else. Pfhucking moron.

The ref all round had a crap game, in what was a very poor watch. Wish i'd saved my ?5 on clarets plus. The decision making was baffling at times and inconsistent. Is the sending off significant for the Premier start??
