  • JBL disaster show

Time for SP to leave the building. Take with him JBL, Anthony, Laurent, and Walker. Everton were there for the taking and we were served that *show. Frustrating as feck tbh. You cannot keep making the same mistakes or trust players who week in week out are not performing and not good enough. I am a naturally positive person, Broja, Humphries did well. Flemming unfortunate but at least did not sky it. Cullen was crap, seemed like a hamstring, time he rested sadly. Why give away so many corners, when will we ever learn. Really frustrated tonight.

Good summation Dave.I had a bad connection on my livestream but saw the chances missed by JBL and Flemming. They are simply not good enough for the PL.Far too slow for the speed of the PL.
Why we resigned JBL is a mystery.

My stream was great, uninterrupted. Cannot blame Flemming, he was so unlucky., he was onside despite the dodgy commentary I heard too. JBL was utter crap, Sinkov got him right months ago. I was prepared to give him time. Anthony also no where near. Laurent I haven’t been having for months. He almost fell on his arse again too. Parker no idea at this level.

Al that is true Dave but we are pedestrian in build up I’m afraid it’s so laboured that unless we have a change around and quickly it will be curtains.

Dubravka - Ekdal - Edwards - Walker and Ugo all decent Cullen struggled for me JBL shouldn’t have even started

Broja worked hard for very little service tbh his feet and link up play is good.

I’m still convinced Parker doesn’t know his best team or players positions.

Tbf Everton were marginally a worse team than us

I’d be the first to say if I thought we were cr8p, but I thought we did okay today, we had a go in 2nd half. Humphreys was superb, I’m likely to get pelters for this but he is a better player than Esteve. A lot quicker and athletic

Humphreys is a real class act and we have missed him. Edwards plays in the hole and does it perfectly well. Keane, Tarkowski and Pickford are a great trio and we simply could not break them down.

Another relegation on our CV is now nailed on.

JBL was really frustrated and disappointed when he sat down on the bench after being subbed. I think he feels the weight on his shoulders as do the rest of the players. It?s weighing them down and causing them to shy away from taking the chances presented to them. He did his best today but didn?t succeed. Im not too disappointed in the players today. To me they seem to care. I?ve never been a fan of Parker, and I think he?s letting us down, but I also like that we give managers time. Glad I?m not running this club

Will Park, his best is not good enough. I remembered his goal at Luton when we re-signed him and was optimistic for him. That optimism is long gone. We can not carry players offering nothing.
Positives are Humphries, Broja and Edwards, and the feeling certain players not offering are at the end of selection hopefully.

Will it’s a game of opinions

                    But here’s what I saw

JBL several times refusing the ball and telling the full back to go backwards or sideways and not to him when there was space and the option to get at his man.

I saw a wide man/ team who doesn’t believe - we pay balls into spaces and let forwards others get there and then stand and watch hoping they can perform miracles on their own ( football isn’t like that )

I saw him set off once for a run with the full back but decided against it / he then proceeded to play a lot of balls at waist height flicking his heels up with no
Control ( he wasn’t alone/ complicit in this as others also played stupid chipped balls at waist and shoulder height )

The way I see it it’s our width is meant to be outlet / supply in Parker’s set up but for weeks that hasn’t happened ( Anthony started quite well at it closing down - going at a man and get rewards early doors ).

Where did that disappear to - when that stopped we stopped

JBL I’ve no doubt is a decent player but not at this level unfortunately- I will say that o think Parker’s tactics stifle him and others from improving/ helping our cause.

I honestly. Believe teams know what they’re facing before they get here as we don’t go
In behind very much - our wide men are defenders predominantly ( not attacking threats ) and all our football is played in front of opposing back 4 s - where they can see and are very comfortable and very happy ).

If you look at opposing teams there is only one thing on their minds get the ball and our players in behind Burnley’s defence - they have players moving into spaces to receive the ball we have statues / robotic left right and backwards.

Playing Edwards changes all of that army88. He's constantly working one-two's, the mystery is why does Parker not play him?

And in which world is Larsen better than Tchaouna?

He isn’t BT exactly the point - we saw Loum score from 25 yards against Leeds and dropped the game after - why wasn’t he encouraged to do his job offensively and defensively he’s bigger quicker stronger and could be moulded into a very good player for us.

I’ve posted re Hannibal before he’s the most gifted player we have - everything he’s about is forward thinking passes - movement but whilst I admit his temperament can be questionable at times - Parker should manage him and get the best out of him for the team that doesn’t mean 10 mins from the bench or not at all.

It’s a s—t show Bt and Parker needs to leave the building as nice as he is.

We need someone who’s stronger as a character and demands only 110% with the ability to pick the nest starters and a formation everyone understands - for me we are fluttering around in no man’s land at the minute ( but with Sky and the whole media already writing us off as relegated ).

I still think Leeds will slip back into the mix and if so we’d have a chance with someone who can actually manage at this level and a stable team.

I got vilified and threatened on Facebook for even suggesting Parker should have been sacked after the WHU game.

I too noticed the disappointment and frustration on JBL face as he sat down. JBL and all the other players are giving what they can imo.
Improvements can only come from those providing the coaching.

I think it's clear to everyone that Edwards and Tchouna have miles more attacking talent and intent that JBL and Anthony. If SP is to get us out of this mess, the shackles need to be removed, start the talented ones, attack and entertain. Bring those defensive wingers on to protect a lead if we really must. Walker and Pires need to be getting wide and put crosses into the box for Broja to attack, and while we are at it, let's stop this stupid imo Walker long throw which slows the game, and has produced the results of sweet FA to date.
