  • Ross Barclay anyone

With the usual speculation, I see that Villa may want to offload Barclay. I thought that he was a different class when he played for Luton. I think that he could do well for us and bring something to a midfield that is pedestrian at best.

I don't have any idea how far Amdouni is away from full fitness, but he would fill the Cullen gap without any problem.

I would come from Budapest and drive him up from Birmingham myself.Exactly what we need Swiss.

Watch Ugochukwa and Florentino in action and they are anything but pedestrian.

They are not creative though BT. If you go back and watch the game they don’t want to pass forwards ( not a criticism of what they do )
They have a touch and move the ball sideways until it reaches Walker generally who has the intelligence to try and go forwards.

I’m always watching our players / formations and how we play back to front and I’ve noticed a few having a go at Walker and Hartman - I noticed they stopped playing the raking 50 yard pass on the diagonal as we are so negative that the runs have stopped - Walker has the ability as does Hartman but the runs that force the pass have stopped so it doesn’t happen.

Florentino is struggling adapting to the speed of the Premier league he is a slow thinker and gets caught in possession.

Ugochukwa is only a kid and will improve, but at this present time doesn't offer enough and drifts out of the game

Both players will improve but unfortunately not at Burnley, they will both move on when we get relegated

He certainly could do a job for us, but I have read that Sunderland are after him

That’s the end of that. He’s bound to join a club who finished 26 points behind us last season, in comparison to us.

If I was looking at the direction of the two clubs I am sure I would choose the Black Cats in preference to BFC.

We already have Hannibal( in that mould) whois competent in that position and playing the creative pass.
What we need though is a way of playing where people make the runs to receive the pass - and also that others are willing to make the extra yards to back up team mates instead of watching and hoping they can create on there own.

Hannibal needs managing granted but so do the team by a different person with different ideas and a fit team imo Swiss.

I wouldn’t say no to Barclay but who would he feed the ball to - everything needs to change

I think the ship has sailed for us and Barclay, a shame, absolutely made for clubs like us and Luton.

I dont think there will be a lot of movement because of our bloated squad. We need to offload half a dozen before any incomers will be considered.Cardy and the players have not really put themselves in the shop window with the first half of this season.
