If anyone on here thinks Callum Wilson is not a massive upgrade on what we have they are deluded ( like Parker ) - he is a proper centre forward who absolutely wants to score goals

I’m not saying he’d get them as we like to turn around and go front to back quickly instead of back to front.

However my answer would be absolutely if we are going to play some football and go forward creating chances for him - if we keep
Parker in charge and carry on like we are it would be infuriating for him and us.

I agree Army. I do think that Broja, Foster and Flemming are starved of service, feeding off crumbs. Even a proven goals scorer like Wilson will struggle.

I think that we do need someone like a Ross Barclay who can provide service to them to give them opportunities in goal scoring positions. Foster makes great runs to create space that no-one fills whilst he can’t score from the corner flag!

He is a goal-scorer Dave, I'm not disputing that, I just doubt that he will get the chances with us to prove it and besides his injury record is worrying. He only made 70 odd starts for Newcastle in 5 seasons and he's only started 8 at West Ham despite them being in the mire along with us. No disrespect to Callum, but us signing him, imo, would be like putting ear-rings on a pig, won't make a whole lot of difference.

If we had Rice and another ringer we would still struggle under Parker ball. His tactics just strangle any creativity out of our side
