  • Am I too inpatient ? Probably

Given our direction of travel I thought {wrongly obviously) that we would have been quick out of the blocks in respect of transfers {loans or permanant) ???? We always seem to be too slow leaving ourselves too much to do at the latter stages of the January window.

Yes Alf you are probably right but a hope also probably forlorn. We have to have hope without which we have nothing.

The problem is the squad is full and we need to shift some - but who and for what money?

          A Tale of Two Windows.

If we sign anyone in this transfer window, I'll show my arse in Burtons window.

Can't sign players when you don't have any spare cash. Sinkov ---your arse is safe and so are the general public. Shame that your lads went out tonight too, however, they have done well in the Trophy.

It couldn't last Sub, just a shame that after beating York they got landed with Scunny away, probably the hardest game they could have got. Need to win some league matches now, getting dangerously low in the league, and despite the Trophy run I'm still not convinced by this manager.

Yes, Scunny was always going to be very hard and so it proved.
You sound to be in a similar position to us up here in that, we won five on the trot which lifted us up the table and then lost to Blyth Spartans on Boxing Day when we had a player sent off after 4 minutes and lost 0-1. We haven't played since because of the weather but we need to win a few more to ensure safety.

Anyway, I await the Clarets' foray into the transfer window with very little expectation.

Seeing that our squad is full and no other club is rushing in to buy what we have on our books, it looks like we are stymied I'm afraid.

I think that the Board are being realistic and accept relegation is virtually inevitable.Hope for a decent Cup run to generate a bit of money and then have an end of season clearout. We may hunt around the world with the systems we apparently have in place to try and find a couple of cheap gems but that will be about it.

Would be crazy to spend daft in the hope that a miracle happens.

To bring in a decent loan player would be expensive. The loaning club would want a fee of around 2million, and the player 2.5 million in wages, that would be 4.5milli down the pan

No point in bringing anyone in if they ain't better than what we have got.

Parker doesn't look to be going anywhere anytime soon, although it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't jump ship in the summer to a London/southern based championship club
