Normal service resumed by Parker. No intention to go and try and win a game just to try and defend which inevitably ends in us going behind. The man simply cannot change tactics. Its suicide every game.

Good point in the end.We could have won it with a bit more guile.

How on earth we left Anfield with a point the Lord only knows. The lads did not give in though. UTC#

Because of Bashir Humphrey’s and a decent midfield pair. Walker at fault for their goal, VAR and chums gave a really dodgy pen, retribution there.

A point is always a good result at Anfield but still annoying setting up with 5 defenders and 2 midfielders who sit on the back 5.
Thanks to Edwards who turned last season round we got a point

Out of 12 predictions, only 1 forecast the possibility of a Clarets win and yet all the moans go on because we managed to draw 1-1 against a team who have not lost since Wednesday 26 November and have won 6 and drawn 5, in fact drawn 6 now.

Lots of fans were raving about Crystal Palace, however, in their last 10 games they have won 0, drawn 4 and lost 6 and that includes their loss at Macclesfieldin the cup. In their last 7 PL games they have picked up 2 points. It's a funny old game.

Can't fault this squad for lack of effort. SP deserves credit for that. Anthony looks much better playing inside, glad to see Pires in
midfield. Yes, we had good fortune but a definite pick- me up result.

We played in a game and were second fiddle they had 32/33 attempts at our goal and on another day it could have been a different story.
I posted nothing negative because I thought we tried to stay in the game with heart and I’d don’t expect us to go to Anfield and play then off the park.

Edwards carried us really and early doors he got out muscled a lot but credit to him stuck to task and received just rewards for his effort.

                        I think
People frustrations and disappointment s are that he was given no game time for 17 games whilst we sat in and played with a 5 and lost games most weeks ( Hannibal same )

We still set up yesterday in a five but we don’t have the real pace to hurt teams to play like that so generally we concede possession and the ball comes straight back at us as at least 7 of our players are camped across the last third of the field.

Sub we’ve always been moaners ( Burnley fans ), my dad is like you been going 65/70 years and seen us in our pomp where we played the magic football and others struggled to live with us - I think that because of that we’ve always demanded good football even in the doldrums of the 4 th division ( didn’t always get it mind ).

The minimum requirement though is decent football and effort and I don’t think Parker’s set ups suit the players we have - hence people un happy.

                        Up the clarets.

I enjoyed parts of it. We fought but were really lucky to not concede more goals and we were lucky our one attempt on target was enough to earn us one point. We sit so deep and give them so much time on the ball just outside our box it?s ridiculous. And again we take the ball to the corner flag to try to keep the ball out of our goal, not seemingly to try to get a corner so we can score again. 27% possession. They had 11shots on goal and were better then us in all areas. Feels good to be lucky though and we need to fight for luck to give us something which it did this time round. As soon as Cullen is fit enough he?ll be back as captain and we have more possession in our own half. UTC

On the positive side, a point away from home is never a bad result. Some might say that we rode our luck, but don’t all teams do that at times?

The score line could have been worse, but it wasn’t in no small part to Dubravka and two goal line clearances, as well as poor finishing by Liverpool. The latter point is their problem, not ours.

Looking at individuals, I was disappointed in Walker. He is there to bring experience and, one hopes, organisation and a calm head. On a couple of occasions he tried flashy lay offs that both went wrong in dangerous positions putting the defence under pressure. For their goal he was beaten by their player and just seemed to stop, making no effort to get the ball back.

In the end, a point is a point. Let’s hope that we can take it to Spurs and kick them whilst they are down.

Next on is a under pressure Spurs who could quite possibly be manager less come next Saturday.
Spurs have a poor record at Turf Moor so lets hope Parker sets the team up to give a right go or else what's the point.

4 draws and 2 defeats is an improvement but we must do more to turn 1pt into 3, and that lies at the feet of our manager who has been far to negative. Edwards has had his critics,( ie fails to track his man and a wee bit soft,) but since Parker introduced him our fortunes have improved, maybe if he made another slight adjustment we would start getting some wins under our belt
