Despite my opinion I strongly believe our overiding problem is not Scott Parker. The last 3 seasons have proved that it is ALK who are not PL quality as owners.
It is looking like both Leeds and Sunderland will stay up-the former although being a bigger club than Burnley have been nowhere near the PL in the last 8 years yet despite scraping in via the playoffs have put together a squad capable of comfortably staying up.
On the other hand ALK have already had experience in the PL and should have a good idea of what is needed to avoid relegation yet they have failed at their now second attempt.
The club is run by people who have spent tens, even hundreds of millions yet cannot keep us up despite parachute payments and PL standard training facilities. They stuck with a manager who had a proven track record of failing in the PL.They stuck with a recruitment team and system that had failed spectacularly after our promotion under VK.
Parker is merely a sympton of the underlying problems at the club.

A few posters on her never rated Vincent Kompany who was after all a Pace choice. I'll bet a few quid he's the next Citeh manager - and soon.

BT , you may recall that before Xmas ,I mentioned this valid point that you have again raised, and for the life of me, I just cannot work out why Alan Pace has remained silent all this time. Surely ,if you have a business that is not producing the standard required, you at least try to find out what can be done , to put the matter right. Last season, when we were on our way up , both Pace and his American football mate were everywhere to be seen, posing for photos with fans etc. Where are they now ? I refuse to believe that neither of them are interested in the clubs present position, but that?s the way it looks to me. It sums up everything that is wrong with our club right now.

By my reckoning we need another 25 points from what for us will be our own Fifteen Cup Finals to have any chance of staying up.

True BT, there have been improvements but do the selection committee know why? No question that we have had more than our fair share of luck recently. It's not looking good but it's not impossible yet.

I get your stance CIB but the club employs people to do a job - pace isn?t a scout for talent he?s a cheque signer and in the boards defense they have tried to support managers ( but it?s a business at the end of the day - they are not saudis etc with bottomless pockets ).

We debate on here and I think sometimes maybe some are not good enough and are weaker etc etc but my thing is we do have some decent players and some better players who Parker has had sidelined apart from sub appearances for 17 games.

I appreciate the other side and your points but the book stops with the man pulling the strings - I?m a realist I didn?t / don?t expect to compete - win most games against the powers in the premiership but I?d like us to have a go in those games and really try to win the other games ( imo we have not done that ).

Also an argument would be we?re shouting for Parker?s head and he got us promoted first time of asking and the owners are honest decent people - who knows. ?

All I know is I go on and watch and it feels like we don?t have / show the will to win games when we should have - I?m not daft enough to implement a gung ho style either to get thrashed every week - I just think the manager - coach holds the reigns and it?s his job to get the best team he can from what he has at his disposal - I would be less critical of him if he?d done that .

Last weeks press conference said he was so pleased for Marcus Edwards and how he deserves his accolades and a model
Professional he?s been waiting for his chance

Why did he have to wait 17 games

Everything just feels a bit too comfortable for my liking.

We will go down and Scott will prove once again he doesn’t have what it takes at this level. Too cautious most of the time, and we have had some crap to endure. Let’s see if he is kept on for another pop at the Championship

I completely agree Army.I can honestly say, and I am being deadly serious, that I haven't enjoyed even one half of football this season and at the very most a couple of games last season-Watford away and Wednesday at home under Parker. It is simply horrendous to watch. You have to endure rather than enjoy watching games under Cardy.
I cannot imagine even considering paying to watch the drivel he serves up.
