Right with a bit of luck Parker will be gone before Saturday if not I dread to think what kind of reception will be given. We are now down to Free Agents and I do not know how that works out for us if at all. There are a few out of contract but should we bother ?? Anyone have any thoughts ??

This season is just another rinse and repeat of the Kompany season, back then Kompany should have been relieved of his duties mid November with the same applying to Parker this.
If Pace thinks we can go into next season in the championship under Parker and rinse and repeat, he is in for a rude awaking.
Confidence from the fans is at an all time low and the recent team performances says to me that the players have lost confidence in themselves, and respect for Parker and the club.
Parker has to go with an interim appointment until the end of season, with someone who has the respect of the players and give us fans some hope moving forwards

We're as doomed as the Titanic after the iceberg hit, so no point signing anyone now, it would just be re-arranging the deckchairs. Just my own opinion, I could be wrong, but I don't think Pace has any intention of sacking Parker. Maybe the fans can persuade him otherwise, we'll see.

Not often you are a reliable barometer mon ami but you are spot on with this post. He who has clean hands and a pure heart, cannot possibly run a football team. Pace needs to sack Parker but we all know he won't.Originally posted by sinkov View PostWe're as doomed as the Titanic after the iceberg hit, so no point signing anyone now, it would just be re-arranging the deckchairs. Scott is on a three year contract until June 2027 and if he is sacked it will cost the club money. Then there is also the task of finding another manager and offering attractive terms to whoever that is. Have we got the brass to do it? I have my doubts.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostNot often you are a reliable barometer mon ami but you are spot on with this post. Parker will still be at the club come the end of the season and he even maybe still here for next season as Pace & Co. probably see him as the best, and cheapest option to try and get promoted again next season.Parker said in his latest presser that we(meaning him and the owners) need to sit down at the end of the season and discuss what went wrong and how to rectify it - so he obviously thinks he is here to stay.
If that is so, I will be giving next season a miss I think. My mental health could not take another 12 months of Parkerball.

If we put in anymore performances like we did at Sunderland, it would be insane not to sack him.Originally posted by Supersub6 View PostScott is on a three year contract until June 2027 and if he is sacked it will cost the club money. Performances like that cannot be tolerated anymore with the lack of effort plain to see, with
the players literally throwing in the towel.
If the board don't seem to be bothered about our current position why should the fans waste their time and money, they will literally leave in their 1000s
Enough is enough. Parker should have been sacked last November, and it would be pure folly not to sack him forthwith

View From The Boardroom
It is now inevitable that we will be relegated.
Next season we will attempt to win promotion from the Championship back to the Premier League.
Our research shows that Mr S. Parker has an impeccable record for winning promotion from the Championship and the Board recommends that he is employed next season to win us another promotion to the Premier league.
As Mr S. Parker is currently employed as manager of Burnley FC, the Board hereby recommends that there be no changes in that department.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
By Order Of The Board.

Thee and me have both previously mentioned how "lucky" Alan Pace is mon ami, it might be pushing his luck boundaries to expect a straight back promotion three times on the bounce.Originally posted by sinkov View PostView From The Boardroom

He will certainly need to sell players like Edwards, Esteve and Ugochukwa to balance the books and we have a lot of players coming towards the end of their contracts.
Next season might not end well.

I did mention this in my "relegation worries” post.If Pace & Co. think cardy will get us promoted next season after the inevitable fire sale of our mediocre “best players” then he is living in cloud cuckoo land.Lucky would not be the word to describe it.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostThee and me have both previously mentioned how "lucky" Alan Pace is mon ami, it might be pushing his luck boundaries to expect a straight back promotion three times on the bounce.

Some fans seem to think that it is guaranteed that Parker would take us straight back up due to his past achievements at championship level.Originally posted by ClaretinBudapest View PostI did mention this in my "relegation worries” post.If Pace & Co. think cardy will get us promoted next season after the inevitable fire sale of our mediocre “best players” then he is living in cloud cuckoo land.Lucky would not be the word to describe it.
I am in the other camp of that the fan base will be toxic, and that once a manager has lost the dressing room (like he obviously as, after the Sunderland sh!t show) there is no way back

Recruitment, like under Kompany has once again been poor. I honestly can't think of one signing that has excelled they have all been gash, and not helped by a coach who is out of his depth at this level
The owners just appear to be happy to pocket the Parachute monies and hope we bounce back the year after. There is no long term strategy or planning, they don't learn from past mistakes and just keep repeating the same old ones, with this season being a mirror of the Kompany one in the EPL
