LIke every manager at every club, Eddie has never been popular with 100% of the fans. They forget how he has turned them round from a club that was languishing at the bottom of the PL and got them into the Champions League and also won the Carabao Cup.
He lost Isak this season and then has been having to change the team on a weekly basis because of the number of injuries sustained.
Newcastle have struggled defensively this season, even though they didn't concede a boat load of goals in the early part of the season, they have never been convincing. They are the 8th in the league as far as goals scored are concerned, however, only 6 teams have conceded more.

There have been rumblings all season that Eddie has taken them as far as he can and there was much discontent today after their defeat. He has a win percentage of 49.3% of 223 games managed at the Toon, however, that counts for nothing these days.

Burnley fans wanted a change of ownership and got it ---are things better now?
Toon fans want a change of manager because he has been there for 4.5 years and lost to local rivals today ----even though they haven't beaten Sunderland in 11 PL games since 20 August 2011.
