Can someone please enlighten me about Vithino. Last time I was told is that the Brasillian club he went to had not paid the necessary transfer fee. Is that still the case or has it now been paid. If it hasnt been paid what are the club doing about it and at what point does Vithino return to Burnley or is stopped from playing any football until the matter is resolved.

Unsure re the payments it was explained as you say but I don?t think he wanted to come back anyway - we could do with the money though if we haven?t had it.

"After six seasons in European football, Vitinho agreed to return to Brazilian football in 2024. Botafogo paid €8 million (R$49.6 million at the time) plus €1 million in possible bonuses to acquire him from Burnley. These figures made the player the most expensive defender of the decade in Brazilian football."
He had signed a contract extension with the Clarets through 2027 and the word is the fee is still unpaid by Botafogo and there does not seem to be any urgency from ALK to chase the debt.
Botafogo is owned by John Textor the dodgy ex-majority shareholder of Crystal Palace, he's an American businessman and majority owner of Eagle Football Holdings. Sound familiar?
