Another thread of a shirt sleeve denies Anthony an opener for the Clarets.

    The stench of corruption reeks.

As someone who has played and refereed at Semi-professional level, I am at a loss to see how a shoulder leaning into what they class an offside position is interfering with play when the ball is struck by the player's foot with nobody else anywhere near him.
Yes, offside if he scores with hsi shoulder, however,.......................................... ..

I also notice the Brighton player going down with holding his head when we were breaking away on a promising attack ---ref has to stop play and then the player walks off with a smirk on his face. Esteve's booking --another case of outside interference because the ref had played on happy that Esteve had got a toe to the ball, however,...........................

I agree with your last statement BT

Completely agree BT.That first half was full of idiotic decisions.Brighton got everything that was in a promising area or to their advantage and we got the odd decision where there was absolutely no advantage for us just to make it look not too one sided by the ref.

Meanwhile we witnessed another 45 + 4 minutes of Clueless Cardy dross. We look like we are just not bothered - second to every ball, no forward movement, no incisive passes of the ball and abismal defending.

The second VAR decision was even worse than the first because Humphrey was judged ti have his knee offside, however, just as Ward-Prowse was moving towards the ball to take the kick, Humphrey moved with his back to goal to put himself in an onside position and he was facing our goal as the kick was taken ----does he have kneecaps in a different place than a normal human?

Second goal was a blatant push in the back with two hands which we always get penalised for, however,........................

We seem to be continuously on the end of "clear and obvious" erroneous game official decisions. If the deemed offences are so "clear and obvious" why does it constantly take up to 6-7 minutes for VAR officials to clear them up and why on the law of averages do Burnley never get the benefit of the doubt?

Because our faces dont fit in the so-called "Best League In The World” BT.Some of the VAR and refereeing decisions this year have been scandalous. There is no way it is just bad luck.

I'm totally sick of it CiB. Me and the lad have been to about 30 of our games this season an we simply never get the rub of the green. I'm done with it! My son who has yet has no mental scar tissue is carrying on attending when he's not working, but not me.
