You'd hope they'd have a shortlist of potential replacements drawn up. But it wouldn't surprise me if they hadn't.

Burnley have announced that manager Scott Parker has left the club in the wake of their relegation to the Championship.

A statement from the Clarets on Thursday read: "Scott Parker has left his position as Head Coach of Burnley Football Club by mutual consent.

"Following confirmation of the Club's relegation from the Premier League last week, Parker and the Board held discussions and mutually agreed that his time at Turf Moor would conclude."

Craig Bellamy is allegedly in the Royal Dyche having a pint with Alan Pace right now.

Had he gone earlier in the season, the compensation would have been more. They would then have had to appoint a new manager, who most likely would have seen us relegated anyway and the fans would then be wanting rid of whoever it was -- even more compensation needed in that case and what then?
Reminds me of the second line of the chorus of "Sixteen Tons"

Prefer Sean Dyche to be having a chat with Pace in the Royal Dyche.

Should have gone last November but he hung on like the grim reaper. Kompany took some beating but Parker just pipped him to the post. The performance have been abysmal all season and Parker just looked like a clueless lad stood on the touchline, obviously way out of his depth.

Whoever comes in needs to bring in his own staff, unlike Parker who had to make do

They managed to oversee our relegation after 6 consecutive seasons in the PL and we have admit that the very large changeover of players since then has not really helped any manager, in spite of success in The Championship.
