They're going to be a bit like a Labour Government mon ami, eventually they'll run out of other people's money. A year ago the debt was 140 million and climbing, God knows what it is now.

I agree BT. I don’t recall how much we paid for them. They will have been depreciated over the life of their contracts but, one assumes, they will leave on a free. Having said that, what would the club have got 12 months ago? Tr?sor’s time on the pitch can be measured in minutes, not games played. Foster - well first there was his depression, then poor performances when he did get a chance. I’ve seen better strikers playing in League 2.

The playing staff really need sorting out big time this summer.

Frightening amounts of money plus NI contributions.

If that's accurate there's a light at the end of the tunnel, however it's hard to believe our current wage bill in the PL is lower than it was last season in the Championship, I'd be taking those figures with a large pinch of salt.

They are published figures so I guess they must be accurate. Still an awful lot of money though!

Not sure that follows mon ami, I'm sure I could find another set of published figures that will differ. The only ones you can really trust are those in the annual Financial Statement and they showed our wage bill was around 82 million in the Championship under Parker. If the figure of 72 million this season is correct it must be the first time in PL history that a team has been promoted into the PL AND reduced it's wage bill.

I think the wages quoted are accurate but it does not illustrate the whole squad's wages. I read somewhere that the club now employs over 320 full time staff and the TOTAL wage bill stands at ?120,000.000 per annum. We are currently losing around ?30,000,000 a year, now I may have consistently been bottom of the class in maths (I preferred chasing lasses up the High Street) but those figures are unsustainable to me.

Terrier Taxis are now on standby.

Galatasaray have had contact with Burnley star Loum Tchaouna's agent as they explore a deal for the winger.

Matt Williams says there is no need for a fire sale of players, and there won't be one.

They don?t think Sinkov - when the agents come sniffing and more money is offered elsewhere they?ll be digging their heels in for a move.

Can?t see the point of having players who don?t want to be here anyway.
