As an ex full-back, with many years experience of playing for Ted's Old Boys in the Burnley Combination, I don't think either are particularly difficult to deal with, back off, show them the corner flag and let them run themselves into trouble.

So whilst like everyone else I?m not convinced I?m still like stuck because we didn?t go forward and certainly didn?t supply the forwards -( hence why Fleming was a miracle at at 11 goals ).
I?d still include foster in this bracket as well as as dire as it was last year when Parker actually played him in his position he received very little service - made runs in channels ( unselfishly) to gain nothing as we had no intention of actually getting up to support him.

So whilst I get everyone?s opinions and in fairness I don?t think Broja will thrive with us unless. He?s made the striker - lift his confidence and give him the services

Bloody hell Army. I can't believe you still hold a torch for Foster. The duck egg has had the last 3 seasons to prove his worth, but he has failed miserably

I?ve said so many times Ballcock I?d be with everyone else if we made 7 chances a game and he missed them but we don?t and then when one does appear he gets it wrong and lo and behold he?s crap etc

I don?t hold a torch for him really I just think like Broja he?s been in and out of playing - injured - mental health - played left wing ( for some reason ) and at the end of the season he looked overweight to me when he actually got on the field.

He?s probably going tbh and Broja though we might end up keeping as balancing the books with broja will be difficult

The thing I try and never lose sight off is they are playing for Burnley and if they were as good as we?d like them to be they either wouldn?t be here in the first place or picked off by massive clubs if they progressed and scored several goals a week.

I had the great misfortune to play against Paul Mariner and Marshall Burke in two separate games who both played on the left wing.

After that I realised I was about as much use as Lyle Foster is now and instead took up supping copious quantities of Lion Breweries Heritage and playing golf instead of getting tortured by proper footballers.

Last time I'm saying this but Tchaouna is a proper baller and I hope we can keep hold of him.

Burnley are back in the Championship and they have a busy summer ahead of them as they prepare for the 2026/27 season.

Chelsea and Liverpool are looking to prise a star away from Burnley, who could be replaced with a transfer raid on play-off finalists Middlesbrough

If some of the bigger clubs come in for Est?ve, I hope that we get a good price and wish him well.

He certainly performed with Trafford and Egan - Reilly in the Championship, but he was no Virgil Van Dyke in the PL.

It would be excellent business if we could cash in on Esteve to the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool. Put a 40 milly tag on him and see if the fools bite, Chelsea normally do

Van Dyck is vastly over rated. He?s been on the slide in a struggling Liverpool set up for the past two seasons. If Liverpool had any sense of,they would have replaced him 12 months ago. When Chris Wood ran him ragged at the City Ground last year, Van Dyck needed a Sat Nav to find him. Another player who thinks he?s better than he is.

Virgil van Disney has been a good player but as you rightly say the last two seasons he?s definitely declining - Esteve imo anyway is still a young man ( he?s had some stick on here ) unwarranted imo as this last season he?s had no older head that helped him - no fixed partnership to build something amd a manager that allowed the oppositions midfield to run of the back of ours straight into the danger areas in opposed - and the rest of the time so deep there was no space to play or see what?s happening.

Esteve is still developing and if he goes to Liverpool under the ex Bournemouth manager he?ll make him amazing and the paltry 35/40 million well get will be a drop in the ocean

At 23 years some of us forget how good he is and has been.

Esteve is decent in the tackle and on the ball but in the air defencivly and offensively he is poor. Playing alongside someone who is strong in the air and playing in a competitive side will enhance is strong points.

Esteve sold to the highest bidder for around forty million and it's being reported we are trying to nick Dael Fry on a free from Middlesbrough.

                                Sounds like a plan.
