However, he is correct about the athleticism and physicality being much more important than skill in the PL.

I think you have to be mentally strong as well, to continually play the ball sideways and backwards when there are opportunities opening up in front of you. It destroyed Jack Grealish, Phil Foden is going the same way and Alexander-Arnold with his range of passing has been dropped from the England squad. If you can adapt and play a 10 yard pass sideways or backwards under any circumstances, you'll be fine.

I agree Sub.But if you, me and many others can see that then why cant ALK.Why do they insist on recruiting players who are simply physically inadequate for the PL.Jaydon Anthony, Hartman, Edwards, Pires and Tresor all spring to mind.

I fear we might be in for a lot more of it in the WC, we're very good at it, but it doesn't win you World Cups.
