  • End of a season to forget

That is for me our worst season ever in the EPL.Even the season under Coyle was more exciting.Apart from the 10 minutes at Palace and the Tchauma screamer there was nothing to shout about over the first 35 games.Jackson has salvaged a bit of credibility for the team but the first half today was indicative of the entire season.
I have read in an article that ALK have paid out 47m in interest on loans alone since they arrived.
Well if that dross is what all that borrowed dosh gets you then it was a complete waist of money.
ALK are incompetent at running a club-end of.Sunderland-a club that has no recent pedigree in the PL and finished 24 points below us last season have qualified for Europe.
    We are in deep dodo.

    It's been a shocking season.

In October when it was obvious Parker cannot cut it in the EPL we should have took the gamble, and sacked Parker and brought a new dude in.

If we had won the bet we would have been about 80 million quid better off.

I would have gambled and I bet my old mucker sinkov would have too.

I didn't put a bet on it but I was confident we would stay up this season. Whether a different manager would have made the difference I don't know, watching that shambles of a first half today I'm not sure he would.

Well yesterday brought a very very disappointing season to an end. We didn’t finish bottom of the Premier League but that is scant consolation. After a fair start in the first 10 games Burnley just imploded. There is nothing else to say. So many things went wrong. I got so much wrong. Despite selling our outstanding goalkeeper James Trafford to Manchester City and watching C J Egan-Riley run out his contract I still thought we would be ok. Wrong. I thought Brentford would struggle after Thomas Frank left for Spurs and Mbeumo, Wissa and Norgaard left for pastures new. Wrong. I didn’t think McBurnie was the striker we should buy. Wrong. I kept faith in Scott Parker when others thought our only chance to save a nose-diving season was to sack him. Wrong. We are back in the Championship along with Wolves and West Ham. We will need a minor miracle to get back to the Premier a league at the first time of asking. I hope I am wrong about that too.

I said last season we should go out and get McBurnie and everyone on here laughed at me. Broja and Foster aren't fit to lace his boots.
This season as been slightly worse than the Kompany one and that is thanks to Sheffield United and Luton
