I have it on good authority from a very reliable source (formerly a car park attendant in Leicester) that Trump indeed did end the War of the Roses by dropping a ten ton chandelier on Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostTrump is a senile old fool, he boasted about how he "solved" a non-existent conflict between Cambodia and Armenia despite the countries being 4,000 miles apart and not having any known issues between one another.
He also claimed to halt a war between Azerbaijan and Albania, though he apparently meant Armenia.
He'd mix up Burnley and Barnsley would this demented old pfhucker, while no doubt claiming he halted the War of the Roses.

According to my Man in Washington, Mr Trump has ended 8 wars in 8 months, this new revelation makes it NINE. Astonishing !!Originally posted by outwoodclaret View PostI have it on good authority from a very reliable source (formerly a car park attendant in Leicester) that Trump indeed did end the War of the Roses by dropping a ten ton chandelier on Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

Drug runners, exterminate them all, you're always whinging about gun laws in the USA mon ami, guns are inanimate objects, perfectly harmless until crackheads and cannabis smokers get their hands on them. Stop the drug runners and your gun crime disappears. Simples. Once again the Donald is one step ahead.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostLet's add to his multiple crimes the new war he's started in the Caribbean and Venezuela. Bomb the Boats.

I fear for the sanity of the Yanks sinkov. Whole schools get shot at with multiple deaths the norm.Originally posted by sinkov View PostDrug runners, exterminate them all, you're always whinging about gun laws in the USA mon ami, guns are inanimate objects, perfectly harmless until crackheads and cannabis smokers get their hands on them. In the United States, acts of violence committed with the use of firearms have become an everyday phenomenon plaguing the nation. Averaging almost 50,000 deaths from firearms annually, the United States is the only high-income country to report such a high death toll from gun violence. From 2016 onwards, there has been over 10,000 homicides by firearm in the U.S. each year and firearms were the most used murder weapon in the nation by far. In addition, the number of mass shootings and school shootings has been increasing over the last few years, with younger Americans emphasizing the reduction of gun violence and mass shootings as one of the most important issues to their generation. Despite rising rates of gun violence, however, many Americans remain fiercely protective of their constitutional right to bear arms. Bonkers or what?

The Tories tried pulling the same stunt here and look where that got them.Originally posted by sinkov View PostIncidentally mon ami, have seen what's coming up in the US Supreme Court, probable abolition of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. No wonder the Dems are kacking their pants, this could keep the Republicans in power for generations.

"If the supreme court rules in favor of the “non-African-American” voters and vacates what is left of the Voting Rights Act, as they are expected to, then a decision will probably come down sometime in June, just a few months before the November 2026 midterms. The resulting racial gerrymanders are expected to net Republicans 19 House seats."

Never mind the Tories mon ami, where do you think an extra 19 seats will get the Donald and his Proud Boys ?

Very little difference in culture mon ami, what America does today, we do tomorrow. Political Correctness, Wokery, BLM and knee-taking, political activist judges all imported from the USA and you can even see it into the future as they've voted in a right-wing president and we'll soon be voting in Prime Minister Farage.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostHighlights the huge differences in cultures mon ami. Here we send our discredited Royals to Coventry and oblivion, in the US the convicted fraudster and alleged speedofile gets to destroy the White House and build a pfhucking ballroom.
Your lack of historical knowledge is showing again mon ami, Trump adding a ballroom at no expense to the American taxpayer is just the latest in a whole line of additions, renovations and rebuildings which have occurred under previous presidents. Truman virtually knocked it down and rebuilt it after WW2, seems he wasn't happy about his wife's piano falling through the rotten floorboards. Roosevelt built the West Wing in 1902, Coolidge converted the attic into the 3rd floor in 1927, Lady Bird Johnson redesigned the gardens and created a children's garden, Gerald Ford built an outdoor swimming pool, very few presidents have not tinkered with the White House to a greater or lesser degree.
I'm considering charging you for these tutorials in future mon ami, I'm getting fed up of having to fill in the gaps in your knowledge for free. You don't even say thank you.Last edited by sinkov; 26-10-2025, 09:14 AM.

I have mentioned many times before that I retained friendships with Americans I met during my commercial trips into the US.
A couple are Democrats and another couple are Republicans but they seem to be in congruence with this report:
WASHINGTON − President Donald Trump shocked historic preservationists and incensed Democratic opponents with the demolition on the East Wing of the White House this week to make room for a $300 million ballroom he plans to pay for with private dollars.
Demolition crews started on Monday, Oct. 20, by tearing down the East Wing's east entrance. The work expanded to the entire East Wing, historically used as office space for the first lady and her staff. The full demolition is expected to be finished in the coming days, and construction is expected to last throughout most of Trump's second term.
The project has raised questions about whether Trump has the legal authority to decide unilaterally to bulldoze a large chunk of "The People's House" ‒ and to build a 90,000-square foot structure in its place that will tower over the main White House building.
Trump is tearing down the very fabric of the US and no-one seems to have the will to stop him. Reminds me a lot of Hitler's Germany in the 1930's.
