You don't half post some drivel mon ami, so some French bint gets arrested and then released, is this supposed to be news ? And it's bollox anyway, you should know that Friends of Israel France has of no powers of arrest, never did have, never will have. Have you nothing interesting to post ?Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostFriends of Israel France, yesterday arrested then released nurse Imane Maarifi who spent 15 days volunteering as a medic in the Gaza Strip.
Lawyer Rafik Chekkat, founder of the Islamophobia platform, said Maarifi was arrested in the morning at her home and taken into custody.
He criticised the arrest and said it took place at a time when French soldiers who fought in Gaza “enjoy total impunity.”
Thomas Portes, a lawmaker from the La France Insoumise, or France Unbowed (LFI) party, wrote that Maarifi has been released from custody.
“The search of the home in front of the family leaves no doubt about the desire to intimidate the voices that are raised to support the Palestinian people and demand an immediate ceasefire,” he wrote on X.
Maarifi attended pro-Palestinian rallies in France to share her testimony about the crippling situation in Gaza.

"BBC ‘breached guidelines 1,500 times’ over Israel-Hamas war. Coverage was heavily biased against Israel, report into corporation’s output finds."
"The BBC breached its own editorial guidelines more than 1,500 times during the height of the Israel-Hamas war, a damning report has found. The report revealed a “deeply worrying pattern of bias” against Israel, according to its authors who analysed four months of the BBC’s output across television, radio, online news, podcasts and social media."
"The Asserson report analysed the BBC’s coverage during a four-month period beginning Oct 7, 2023 – the day Hamas carried out a brutal massacre in southern Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking another 251 into Gaza as hostages. A team of around 20 lawyers and 20 data scientists contributed to the research, which used artificial intelligence to analyse nine million words of BBC output. Researchers identified a total of 1,553 breaches of the BBC’s editorial guidelines, which included impartiality, accuracy, editorial values and public interest."
“The findings reveal a deeply worrying pattern of bias and multiple breaches by the BBC of its own editorial guidelines on impartiality, fairness and establishing the truth,” the report said. It also found that the BBC repeatedly downplayed Hamas terrorism while presenting Israel as a militaristic and aggressive nation. It claimed that some journalists used by the BBC in its coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict have previously shown sympathy for Hamas and even celebrated its acts of terror."

Regarding the claim of BBC bias, the "research" was led by non-other than the British-Israeli Jewish lawyer Trevor Asserson, “also found that Israel was associated with genocide more than 14 times more than Hamas in the corporation’s coverage of the conflict.” Hardly surprising when the head count since October 7th is 1000 for Hamas and around 50,000 for the IDF. 14 times more should probably read around 45 times more if you want to get a correct reading of the scale of genocide being perpetrated in Gaza by Israel.

Not a random American woman tourist, who just happened to be in Judea and Samaria though was she, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi was described as a Turkish-American activist. It's a shame she chose to spend her time touring the Middle East chucking rocks at IDF soldiers, when she could have chosen something much more useful, like becoming a nurse or a teacher. Ah well.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostOh $hit..!
Israeli soldiers killed an American woman protesting against settlements in the West Bank on Friday, two protesters who witnessed the shooting told The Associated Press. Two doctors said she was shot in the head.
The U.S. government confirmed the death of 26-year-old Aysenur Ezgi Eygi but did not say whether she had been shot by Israeli troops. The White House said in a statement that it was “deeply disturbed” by the killing of a U.S. citizen and called on Israel to investigate what happened.
