I've just read somewhere that the greenhouse gasses from imported fuels are worse than the coal we could still be using in this country. Seems an unusual claim given the different levels of refinement but I think it was a bona fide source, this forum aside I try to read educational stuff

This forum is educational kc! If only because it tolerates a wide range of opinion and challenges people to think for themselves. That was the best lesson I received from my teachers was to judge for yourself and not do as you are told. You might still be wrong but you would at least have done that yourself! Suffice to say my biggest gripes in life are reserved for those whose philosophy is that what they say or believe is perfect and that nothing else is of any importance.

UN 'peacekeepers' mon ami, is this a fecking joke or what ? Apparently some members of the IDF have been taking pot shots at these UN 'peacekeepers'. I was intrigued by this story so I read on, it seems there are around 10,000 UN 'peacekeepers' stationed in the Israel/Lebanon border area. Just what the feck they are doing there except posting on TikTok, playing backgammon or scratching their bums I have no idea, have you ? According to UN Resolution 1701, Hezbollah should have disarmed, well fair enough we can forget all about that, but they should not be south of the Litani river either. Instead under the watchful gaze of 10,000 UN 'peacekeepers' Hezbollah has militarised the border area with thousands of well armed, well trained fighters, constructed miles and miles of underground tunnels, some leading under the border into Israel, and right under these 'peacekeeper's' noses, have fired 8,000 rockets/missiles into Israel in the last 12 months alone.

Someone is taking the wee wee mon ami, how much is it costing taxpayers the world over to keep 10,000 toy soldiers doing the square root of feck all in Lebanon, doing so little that the Israelis have decided to do their job for them, with the result that Lebanon may soon resemble Gaza.
