You really have no idea what's going on over there have you mon ami. You want money spent on welfare, try this, $24 billion given to California to counter homelessness, homelessness continues to rise and no one in California can account for that $24 billion, it's gone, no one knows where.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostIf they spent the trillions of dollars they spunk on weapons and the military and diverted it to welfare and infrastructure the US would indeed be truly great again.

And that's just one example, this waste and fraud is being uncovered by Elon Musk and DOGE on a gargantuan scale. Musk and his team are now investigating how so many politicians, almost exclusively Democrats, have become 'strangely wealthy' over the last few years.
"The world?s richest man is dying to figure out how lawmakers on Capitol Hill got ?strangely wealthy? despite their comparatively modest public salaries."Last edited by sinkov; 14-04-2025, 07:06 PM.

"The American economist Thomas Sowell once wrote: “People will forgive you for being wrong, but they will never forgive you for being right – especially if events prove you right while proving them wrong.”
So it seems with President Trump. He has been proven right about pretty much everything and now he is trying to do something about it, the elite is howling with indiscriminate outrage.
It turns out that the Paris Climate Accords led to unilateral economic disarmament in the West, especially in Britain; that China has proved to be a malevolent force and is now eating our lunch; that the overly draconian Covid lockdowns were a mistake; that the “swamp” or “deep state” – call it what you will – is a real threat and was subverting democracy; and that mass migration has been an economic and cultural disaster.
Trump is right that towns and cities have been hollowed out, on both sides of the Atlantic: places like Ohio and S****horpe have suffered, with closed industries leaving dilapidated town centres and a trail of social and drug problems in their wake."

Seems nothing but logical to me mein freund. Huge amounts of money and soldiers lost in pointless conflicts in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen etc. etc, and God knows how much is spent daily on equipping and financing the terrorist state that is ripping The Holy Land apart.Originally posted by Supersub6 View PostSteady ballcock, it appears that BT wants the USA to stop spending money on defence and put it into welfare.

“The Atlantic tells the story of Nicholas Gilbert, a farmer in upstate New York, near the Canadian border. He had just gotten a shipment of livestock feed with a $2,200 tariff surcharge attached.
Gilbert cannot increase the price of the milk he sells, which is set by the local co-op. He cannot feed his cows less food. He cannot buy feed from another supplier; there aren’t any nearby, and getting it from farther away would be more expensive. When he got the delivery, he stared at the tariff for a while. Shouldn’t his Canadian supplier have been responsible for paying it?
“I’m not even sure it’s legal! We contracted for the price on delivery! If your price of fuel goes up or your truck breaks down, that’s not my problem! That’s what the contract’s for.”
Imagine thinking that the Canadian supplier was responsible for the import tax that President Donald Trump levied on the delivery.
But Trump’s voters really believed him when he said that foreign countries would be the ones paying his tariffs. It never made sense, but they believed it. And now, Gilbert’s expenses are so high, he may soon be out of business.
He should’ve known better, but propaganda is a hell of a drug.“

Take your MAGA baseball cap off mon ami, Democratic Sens. Adam Schiff of California and Ruben Gallego of Arizona wrote a letter to administration officials that the sequence of Trump's posts on social media and the market increase raised "grave legal and ethics concerns."Originally posted by sinkov View PostWhat insider trading ? Sounds like Fake News to me, stop making stuff up.
They pointed to Wednesday's 9.5% gain for the S&P 500, a major stock index, and an immediate 18% jump in the price of a share of Tesla, co-founded by Trump aide Elon Musk, who publicly opposed the tariffs in a feud with Trump's trade advisor.
"The president, his family, and his advisors are uniquely positioned to be privy and take advantage of non-public information to inform their investment decisions," Schiff and Gallego wrote.
It's all over proper US news channels, Trump and his cronies are manipulating the stock markets for personal gain. I don't know why you think I "make stuff up"

More from Nazi Germany..."The Trump administration acted quickly on Monday to punish Harvard University after it refused to comply with a list of demands from the federal government that the school said were unlawful.
On Monday afternoon, Harvard became the first university to refuse to comply with the administration’s requirements, setting up a showdown between the federal government and the nation’s wealthiest university. By the evening, federal officials said they would freeze $2.2 billion in multiyear grants to Harvard, along with a $60 million contract.
Other universities have pushed back against the administration’s interference in higher education. But Harvard’s response, which called the Trump administration’s demands illegal, marked a major shift in tone for the nation’s most influential school, which has been criticized in recent weeks for capitulating to Trump administration pressure.
A letter the Trump administration sent to Harvard on Friday demanded that the university reduce the power of students and faculty members over the university’s affairs; report foreign students who commit conduct violations immediately to federal authorities; and bring in an outside party to ensure that each academic department is “viewpoint diverse,” among other steps. The administration did not define what it meant by viewpoint diversity, but it has generally referred to seeking a range of political views, including conservative perspectives."
Trump & Hitler are amazingly good bedfellows.

The US has continued to move more and more heavy equipment in the Middle East, including B-52 bombers and F-35s as well as increased naval strikes in the Persian Gulf area in an attempt to pressure Iran into giving up its nuclear ambitions. No country in the world would move these sorts of military assets to a region unless they were seriously about to use them. More US taxpayers dollar down the drain.Originally posted by Supersub6 View PostSteady ballcock, it appears that BT wants the USA to stop spending money on defence and put it into welfare.

TDS at its finest...
Some fund managers are questioning US President Donald Trump's rationale as his inconsistent trade policies wreak havoc on the financial markets.
Tom Lee, head of research at FSInsights, expressed concerns in a note on Wednesday morning, before Trump softened his stance on tariffs against U.S. trading partners. "In the last few days, we have had many conversations with macro fund managers," Lee wrote.
"And their concern is that the White House is not acting rationally, but rather on ideology. And some even fear that this may not even be ideology," he continued. "A few have quietly wondered if the President might be insane."
He's not insane just power mad and bonkers.

Oh dear, you cannot be serious, you've heard of Billy's Weekly Liar mon ami, Adam Schiff writes it, the man is a congenital liar, and like all Dems driven literally mad with Trump Derangement Syndrome.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostTake your MAGA baseball cap off mon ami, Democratic Sens. Stock markets go up, stock markets go down, and despite my admiration for President Trump, even I do not believe he can predict market movements with any accuracy. I noticed last week he was accused of 'insider trading' by hysterical Demtards when he said it was a good time to buy shares, well of course it was, the Dow had fallen a long way and as any fool knows, the most basic premise in stock trading is 'Sell high, Buy low'. Hardly giving away any secrets was he.Last edited by sinkov; 15-04-2025, 07:30 PM.

News to me mon ami, but what precisely is the US government threatening Harvard with, except withholding government funding, which as it's their money they are surely perfectly entitled to do ?Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostMore from Nazi Germany..."The Trump administration acted quickly on Monday to punish Harvard University after it refused to comply with a list of demands from the federal government that the school said were unlawful.

Simple innit, in future this dumb farmer will be buying his feed from an American supplier. Exactly mon ami, that's what is causing the Mad Mullahs in Tehran to kack their pants. Incidentally, you forgot to mention the two more THAAD batteries which arrived recently, to defend Israel when what's left of Iran attempts to retaliate.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostNo country in the world would move these sorts of military assets to a region unless they were seriously about to use them.
