I stated to research the carnage imposed on Gaza, by the IDF and that madman Netanyahu. In a disproportionate reprisal against the happenings of October 7th 2023 the bomb loads of the IDF Air force on Gaza have surpassed WWII European totals (Dresden, Hamburg, London. The ensuing Humanitarian Catastrophe is hard to put into words.
The scale of explosive ordnance has translated into unprecedented destruction:
Building and Infrastructure Damage: By the first quarter of 2024, satellite analysis confirmed at least 69% of all Gaza buildings had been damaged or destroyed, rising to 80% in northern regions such as Gaza City and Jabalia. This encompasses hospitals, schools, water and power facilities, and entire neighborhoods20.
Casualties: By April 2025, reported fatalities exceeded 46,000, including almost 18,000 children, and at least 110,000 injured, with thousands more still missing under the rubble. The Lancet and Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor studies estimate the real numbers may be higher due to inaccessible collapsed structures and delays in rescue and reporting2426.
Widespread Displacement: Over 1.9 million Palestinians, or 80% of Gaza's population, have been internally displaced according to the UN and Al Jazeera's latest tally, with many living in temporary, unsafe shelters or tent cities.
3. Historical Comparisons
Multiply sourced evidence places the bombing of Gaza in a unique historical context:
World War II Comparisons: The total tonnage of bombs dropped on Gaza now exceeds the combined bomb tonnage used against the cities of Dresden, Hamburg, and London in WWII. For reference, the Allies dropped approximately 3,900 tonnes on Dresden, 9,000 tonnes on Hamburg, and 19,000 tonnes on London during the Blitz—totalling roughly 32,000 tonnes. By contrast, Gaza has seen over 70,000 tonnes dropped in less than a year, in a territory smaller than Philadelphia13.
Nuclear Yield Equivalency: The Hiroshima atomic bombs equivalent yield was approximately 12–15,000 tonnes of TNT. Human rights organizations and independent academics have noted the explosive yield dropped on Gaza is now equivalent to 4–6 times that of Hiroshima13.
Intensity and Saturation: When adjusting for area and population, the daily and per capita/explosives per square kilometre figures for Gaza are exponentially higher than even the most intense campaigns of modern history, including the U.S. campaign in Vietnam and the bombing of Laos and Cambodia.
It’s impossible for me to carry with this research, my blood pressure has gone way beyond safe, but please mon ami, carry on with your denial and deflection techniques. It’s what all supporters of Israel do.

Yep, there is no doubt that Hamas should not have done what they did.
Mind you, those rich people that own all the munitions factories throughout the world are certainly not complaining. Perhaps they advised Hamas that it would be a good idea to do what they did.
Your concern, BT, is no different to lots of people, however, all it does is upset you and raise your blood pressure. Just accept that you have no part in this because it is all manufactured by those with money and they will continue earning money from the various tragedies throughout the world and they know that, no matter what you think or do, or no matter how much international recognition there is, it will have no effect whatsoever.
Stop making yourself ill. Life goes on and the Clarets will still be playing Liverpool after the international break.

I see that the IDF has warned the Hamas shiny suits in Doha or wherever that, after eliminating Abu Obeida, they're next. They're all dead men walking, Mossad doesn't forget, none of them will die in their beds of old age.

Best not to even comment anymore. Protest and go directly to jail and don't even think about collecting ?200.00 on the way in.
Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan, head of operations for the Counter Terrorism Command, said: “While we cannot comment further on these specific cases now that they have been charged, I do want to reiterate that there are potentially serious consequences for those who are found guilty of an offence under the Terrorism Act.
“I therefore urge anyone considering showing public support towards Palestine Action, or indeed any other proscribed group, to reconsider.
“We know there is a great strength of feeling towards the situation in Palestine and thousands have been able and continue to be able to express their views through protest and demonstrations, without breaking counter-terrorism laws.
“Palestine Action is clearly proscribed as a terrorist group, and those showing support for this particular group, or encouraging others to do so can expect to be arrested, investigated and prosecuted.”

A strip not much bigger than the Isle of Man has more bombs dropped on it than ever before in the history of warfare and the world stands by and watches.Originally posted by sinkov View PostIt's war mon ami, **** happens, and if you don't like it, don't start one.

FFS don't get me going please?
"They were arrested on Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police, which is when campaign group Defend Our Juries – who have organised a series of demonstrations in support of Palestine Action – said five of its spokespeople had been arrested.
The charges come after Anthony Harvey, 59, appeared in private at Oban Sheriff Court in Scotland earlier on Wednesday accused of addressing a private meeting to encourage support for a proscribed organisation – Palestine Action."
What have we come to?

Are these people who have been arrested for supporting Palestine Action etc. actually Palestinians? Evidently not, therefore I have no sympathy whatsoever because they are supporting a terrorist group , therefore they are connecting themselves to that group.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostA strip not much bigger than the Isle of Man has more bombs dropped on it than ever before in the history of warfare and the world stands by and watches.

Why don't they just keep their noses out of things and they wouldn't have been arrested.
They should arrest everyone who supports terrorism because terrorists breed violence, as can most clearly be seen by the actions of Hamas in Israel.

I call this the boomerang thread because no matter how far way it is thrown from Gaza it just lands right back there. The only likely change is when a General Election takes place in Israel. The Israeli public can then choose to back Netanyahu’s existing war or vote to remove him and the religious zealot parties from power.

Netanyahu will cling to power as long as he can Sir Outwood. From what I can read the Israelis are split amongst themselves. 50% want to kill all Palestinians whilst the other 50% want a ceasefire and peace.Originally posted by outwoodclaret View PostI call this the boomerang thread because no matter how far way it is thrown from Gaza it just lands right back there. Naftali Bennett’s emerging party overtook Likud in the latest election poll published by Channel 13 on Tuesday, marking a shift in the political landscape.
According to the survey, the “Bennett 2026” party would receive 23 seats, while Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, would win 22.

Maybe not but do they give 3 pound to support those kids in Africa without pure water. I doubt it and that, in its own way, is also killing people. Why don't they go and protest about that, after all, they won't be deemed to be supporting terrorists.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostI suppose hundreds of thousands of people just don't like genocide mein freund.

We have a UN backed group declaring famine, however, have they gone to Gaza to physically do some thing about it?
Are they knocking on the door of the Israeli Parliament and demanding things ---I very much doubt it. They are making their observations, without proof, from afar off.
Easiest thing in the world to make observations and comment when you are not there, none of us know exactly what is going on, you either believe or disbelieve the propoganda ----as has always been the case.
Meanwhile Ashington is being taken over by Asylum seekers who have taken over two ex-working mens' clubs and quite a number of other buildings. The locals are not happy, however, they do not talk about Gaza because it doesn't affect their lives.
There could be trouble ahead but our MP is trying to quell the situation. Life goes on regsrdless.

It will be interesting to see the Israeli reaction to the arrival of the aid flotilla which includes Nelson Mandela's grandson and sinkov's favourite girl Greta Thunberg.
The ripples in the pond effect include everyone mein freund, even the working class in Ashington.
You always see Israel apologists like sinkov saying, “If Hamas lays down its arms there’ll be no more war, if Israel lays down its arms there’ll be no more Israel.”
But really the exact opposite is true. If the Israelis lay down their arms, a genocide ends. If Hamas lays down their arms, Israel’s planned ethnic cleansing of Gaza happens quickly and without resistance.
Israel has been very clear and explicit about the fact that its onslaught in Gaza will not end until Trump’s plan for the ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip is completed. Hamas could surrender and release all the hostages today and this ethnic cleansing agenda would still move forward as planned, according to Israel’s top officials. They’ve been completely unambiguous about this.
Anyone who says this nightmare would end if Hamas surrenders were lying. All that would happen if Hamas surrenders were Palestinians being purged from a Palestinian territory forever.
Israeli politicians and official government social media accounts have begun pushing the narrative that Muslim immigrants are a threat to Europe, the implication being that Europeans should support Israel because Israel is helping to kill the Muslims.
Israel’s Arabic language Twitter account recently posted a graph showing the number of Mosques across Europe accompanied by right wing “great replacement”-style talking points, saying that “This is the true face of colonization. And this is what is happening while Europe is oblivious and does not care about the danger.”
Former Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett tweeted last month that “Europe is becoming Islamized,” fearmongering about the number of Muslim immigrants throughout Europe.
Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted on Wednesday that “Belgian Prime Minister de Wever is a weak leader who seeks to appease Islamic terrorism by sacrificing Israel. He wants to feed the terrorist crocodile before it devours Belgium.”
The right wing whack jobs like Farage, Trump and Netanyahu don’t want Muslims to live in Palestine. They don’t want Muslims to live in Europe. Seems to me and millions of others, they just don’t want Muslims to live anywhere north of wherever.

Oh dear, BT, you do seem to worry a lot.
No point worrying mein freund because those running the show, be they Israel, Hamas, Trump, Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un et al will not call you to see whether they have your permission to change the world. They make their own rules as they go along and if you think that little old UK and its government have any say in these matters well.......................................
