  • 30 million! You are having a giraffe mate.

Howe back at the Turf with a 30 million quid offer for Trafford.

Someone please tell me he is having a giraffe.

Everton paid 25 million quid for Pickford and that was EIGHT years ago.

Think how much Chelski paid for Kepa. Newcastle should be told to do one.

Evening gents. We have been after Trafford for a good year now but its looking likely we?ll have to spend a serious chunk of our budget on him if we?re to lure him away after a stellar season in the Championship for you guys. Given the Premier League are desperate to stop us buying players, I cant see us going north of 30 million on a keeper that wouldn?t be a guaranteed starter ahead of Pope. 30 million for a keeper is massive money in my opinion. Can see it happening at some point but it might be next year on your way back down 😋

Never underestimate Mr Alan Pace's desire to bring some money in on his transfer dealings. Mr Pace will be sorely tempted by 30 million, make it 35 million with add-ons and he's gone.

I agree 35/40 million for Trafford is a much more realistic figure. Valuations of course also depend on the length of contracts players have at their current clubs as well as their age and potential. I am sure Trafford would welcome a move to Newcastle but he is not going to go for the bargain price Newcastle were able to pick up Pope for. Given that Trafford is only 22 and already on the fringes of the England senior team it looks like Newcastle are just trying to unsettle him and get him at an undervalue. I suspect we may also have to pay Manchester City a sizeable chunk of any profit we make on the sale. Stick to your guns Mr Pace.

No offence to Newcastle but I think other teams are tracking JT and may have more funds. Man U need a better goalie.

I'd love us to keep him and help us in a big attempt to stay up.

However, any team puts 40 million on the table and he's gone.

Mr Pace did not sign Trafford with a view to him being our PL keeper, he signed him with a view to selling him on at a profit.

and anyone else, though he must now realise he needs a core of decent players, it's just a case of balancing the boots.

Losing Egan Riley and probably Brownhill too is bad enough. Alan Pace must realise by now that if he weakens the team again we are going back to the Championship next April.

If you buy a player at 30 million and put him on a 5 year contract then I assume that would go in the books as 6 million a year on that players fee. If Newcastle are still baulking at paying 30 million for Trafford given his age potential and current experience with England I am sure they can spend their money instead on rumoured target Grealish. I think 30 million is still an undervalue and would need add ons. And they are saying they want him as back up for Nick Pope not first choice.

They are doing exactly the same as the other vultures do are doing - picking the strength out of our squad weakening us and strengthening their position in a league where you are found out day one that a ball is kicked.

I hope mr Pace is strapped in with his game face on as the other teams are coming for our players and they’re going to offer less than they’re worth right up until the very last minute.

Howe can. Feck off for me - pay the valuation or do this one and on top of that what sort off derisory insult is that to Trafford come as a number 2 and wait your turn - he’s the next England keeper in the making and still they make low offers hoping we’ll fold.

It’s a sad fact i posted the same for Esteve if they could stay this season and play well and a miracle we survive their values would increase substantially as the world is watching not just the vultures in the premiership,

Agree entirely army88. We have to keep Trafford and Esteve, if we stay up the pair will be worth a hundred million. Brentford apparently are also considering offering Parker their manager's gig; the vultures certainly know how to take the shine off a promotion winning season don't they?

Just for balance I?ve had a change of heart with the monarchy now our King has knighted the mayor of London- he?s right behind the demise of our country and our King is helping him along now - some people have very short memories.
