  • Josh has gone for the dosh

So no PL club wanted him and he has ended up in Saudi Arabia on 100k/week.Good luck to the lad.He should be financially sound for the rest of his days.I think I would have stopped at Turf Moor on 60k/week.

Two ways to look at this as you allude to

Financially secure now for the future

But imo wasted the best opportunity to play at the highest level on 65k a week and also potentially become a club legend.

Tbf if he’d gone to Leeds for example we’d never have forgiven him - for some people 65k a week must not be just quite enough.

Ahh well like I say mistake made for me.

I’m rather fond of Ugochukwu and cannot wait to see Luis in the flesh, we needed to freshen things up and I am not sorry to see Brownhill gone. I hope the Arabs pay him the lucre, they have a reputation for being not all they seem. All that glitters isn’t always gold.

Good luck to the lad. Although he turned down contract offers from the club, he still put 18 in the back of the net last season and contributed greatly to our promotion success.

However, as always, the club moves on with some exciting new faces. Onwards and upwards!

I don’t know why anyone cares anymore. He moved on, we moved on and no reason to give a flying fork about this?

Henderson couldn't wait to leave... I think he is stupid.. I recon he burnt his bridges, and would have stayed. We replaced him, now one is bigger than the club.

Everyone is different and also free to make their own choices.
Josh has chosen to go to Saudi and can earn a lot of money whilst playing the game he loves and which he has played professionally for 12 years.
During that time he has played 43 games in League One, 231 in the Championship, in which he has gained promotion twice and 111 games in the PL for a club whose fans think that he is not good enough. He has nothing else to prove whatsoever and has made his choice to make money before he is too old.

Sounds a very sensible decision to me and I wish him well and thank him for his contribution to the Clarets over five and a half seasons with 31 league goals and 20 league assists in his 194 appearances.

Undoubtedly Brownhill is a top end Championship player. but proven to be not good enough for the EPL. I hope he finds his true calling in the Camel Jockeys League. Can we all now move on please and get ready for a proper game coming up next Sunday?

Glad he has gone and good luck to him.

Josh proved over the years that he was never quite good enough for the Premier league

I much prefer our new signings who look more suited at this level and will hopefully prove so

Completely agree BC.If had signed for Wolves or West Ham he would have been a fringe player with little game time.He now gets to play games and still have the dosh.Like I said, good luck to the lad.Roll on next weekend UTC!
