My heart beats better at Turf Moor alfie and my son and grandkids absolutely love the whole match day experience. Sadly, my wallet does not share their enthusiasm.

I am possibly going to Ossett to watch bottom of the league Ashington get their first win of the season, however, it all depends on events in the next 12 hours. Fingers crossed.

Season ticket holder for 50yrs BT. Still miss going on the long side 😪, but not prepared to sit in a phuckin stand next to an eejit mate.
Actually stopped going when we acquired our motorhome and are away for 8months of the year..
Still sit in my armchair shouting at the tele and crying when we lose. 😁

The last two matches have done my head in,can't believe we came away with nil points 🤐😒🤨

Have to agree with you alf and add to that the fact that the game can be decided by somone sat 230 miles away. When you have a round trip of 300 miles to watch a home game and someone not directly involved can decide the result you have to seriously consider your options.
Tomorrow, I'll be doing 250 miles to watch the match but at least it will be decided by how three teams perform and there will be no other outside interference. I will drive home and, no matter the result, I will be happy that I have been and supported my local team and helped put some money into non-league football and look forward to Tuesday night when I will go to our home game, miss the Clarets on the telly and have a pie and a pint for under five quid.

Since 1966 I have never lived nearer that 100 miles from the Turf but I had a season ticket for a lot of those years. I may make one trip down this year to commemorate 73 years of going on, however, I am not sure of that.

I seem to have opened a can of worms here.

My question was whose going on the Turf tomorrow?

I'm not really interested in what you are doing if you are not watching the Clarets.

BT, we don't all just live down the road from the Turf like you do. You asked if we were going on the Turf. I answered in the negative and told you that I shall be watching foorball elsewhere.
Don't take everything so personal. Enjoy the game but don't moan if we don't win ----it's only a game nothing more, nothing less.

Ignore him Ashy. He's the guy that used to turn every thread into a political thread until he was told to move them onto a sticky. 😁

I have had a season ticket every year since 1971, so I certainly won't be missing today.

Yes, army, they have been amongst the strugglers in the NPL East for a couple of seasons along with Ashington but could be a decent match in the wet.

A nightmare start at the Turf but it seems from the reports that we deserved at least a draw. Who stood out? Dubravka, Anthony.
