I see Charlie Kirk has been released by Barrow, and Cal Ainley by Dave Artell at Grimsby, Tariq Uwakwe by Swindon, Callum Cooke and George Ray (did he even play) by Morecambe; but Morecambe players signed last summer may have had get out clauses if relegated of course.

One of the members of the chuckle brothers the other being Harry Davies another truly dreadful defender and you can add to that Zac Williams a very poor defender with an even worse temperament I would have sacked Bell for making him vice captain what was he thinking ? Charlie Kirk never saw what people saw in him didn’t look like he had a good fart in him he was that lightweight head and shoulders the best duck out of a challenge player at the club. Callum Ainley thought there was a player in there somewhere but sadly for him played in some poor Crewe sides in his time here and again I’m surprised he had the strength to walk upright truly weak. I’m worried this transfer window we will be scraping the barrel rumours are budget not as much as last season and that was pitiful I’d probably try to get a striker, Center half and a full back in perm then a GK another striker a winger with pace and a attacking midfielder with pace on loan and then give some of our young players some game time Dancey, Sant and Lunt etc.Originally posted by gazan View PostThe one exception being George Ray, but not in a good way.

I don't think we'll get much chance of seeing much of Sant or Dancey.Originally posted by Wartman View PostOne of the members of the chuckle brothers the other being Harry Davies another truly dreadful defender and you can add to that Zac Williams a very poor defender with an even worse temperament I would have sacked Bell for making him vice captain what was he thinking ? So Dancey stays. Williams offered a contract, which they have to do if they want a fee for him. Shilow 'under discussion'. Don't know if they've offered him lower terms. I imagine he won't be fit enough for a couple of months into the season. Whatever, I think they should plan on finding at least another winger, in the meantime. Need also to look for nippy forwards to get away from just trying to lump the ball forward onto a big forwards head and Bogle, if he stays, can't hold the ball up anyway.
Didn't realise Thomas was still under contract - makes him very expensive.

With only 3 salaries leaving, at the moment, there's not much saving on the budget. I assume Long was a (relatively) big earner, don't know about Hemmings and I'm sure Cooney wasn't a big earner. So how to spend the money next season? They will really need to go for quality not quantity in both signings and loans. Considering the huge gaps in certain areas, they'll have to make sure they fill those holes first (though I guess there will be another loanee goalkeeper). They probably can't afford to go the whole hog for loanees. They mustn't go for 'squad players', we've got plenty of those. It all depends how the 'graduates' show up. We haven't had anyone of note for the last few years, Rio excepted.

I've been told that they've been in talks with two or three players in an attempt to move them on, Bogle is obviously one of them.Originally posted by ShropshireAlex View PostAs you say, not creating a big pot. My guess is Hemmings was on a fair whack as well as Long, but not as much as Bogle - wonder if they're looking to do a deal with him and shed him, if someone wants him .....

No thanks. A big question regarding his character I think, we have got rid of one and would be replacing with another.Originally posted by LordK View PostHarry McKirdy anybody, we had him before, seems to be on a downward spiral, possibly pick him up for a reasonable salary? He is what 28-29?
