Difficult to tell from the photos but does the new shirt mark a return to the original scarlet of yesteryear?

I've just seen one live. My impression was that it was very smart and simple. I would say that it was not a deep red and I would describe it as an orangey red.

Back in the day, that was the regular colour. It was referred to in the programme as Scarlet.

So Lankester has been numbered number 7. I suppose with the lack of incoming, he could have his pick! Whatever, I hope we see a lot more of this shirt than we did in previous seasons.
When do the team report for full training? I assume they will have to be back for a week or so (and have some incoming!) before other numbers are dished out. I'm looking forward to a new no.4.

Doubt the numbers will be officially announced till late in pre-seson, though we'll probably see several in the early matches - maybe in time for Birmingham, the first home "friendly".
