So, 2nd attempt to post, horrible site. So I I think 2-2, but sneaky feeling we could upset with a late winner. Like to see Moult leading the line, with please service from a winger! Any update on the March injury. Next few weeks tough and the FA cup draw not great!

2nd try for me too - update just out on OS: "Josh March faces eight to 10 weeks on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.Originally posted by LordK View PostSo, 2nd attempt to post, horrible site. That?s according to Manager Lee Bell, who provided an update on the injury the striker suffered during last weekend?s clash with Bromley.
The summer signing, who has contributed three goals and four assists so far this term, will now work with medical and sports science staff to rehabilitate.
Meanwhile, Matus Holicek (groin) could be available for tomorrow?s trip to MK Dons (Saturday, 3pm); Jack Powell (groin) is likely to miss the next 10 days, and Shilow Tracey has made a positive step forward in his recovery from a broken leg.
Bell said: ?Josh has had a scan and we?re looking at eight to 10 weeks, which I see as a positive because I was thinking it was going to be more.
?We obviously don't want to be missing a good player for that amount of time, but I really did fear the worst when he did it.
?Matus is looking good; there?s no real injury there - just some discomfort and a little bit of scar tissue. I hope he?ll be available for the weekend.
?Jack's struggling a bit in his groin area, so we?ve got to take the workload off him for 10 days or a couple of weeks.
?Shilow saw the specialist again and has been reassured that things are going the way we want. He?s been on the grass for some light work, so that?s another big hurdle cleared. We?re really pleased.
?Now, it?ll be about getting confidence in the leg. He?s working hard, looking after himself, and hopefully, over the next couple of weeks, he can push on.?
Joel Tabiner is continuing to take steps to recover from a long-term injury."
So maybe back about Christmas. I think it'll be Tezgel in in a straight switch, maybe Moult towards the end. I'd take a point any day.

I'm going to bang my drum for 2 up front again, knowing LB won't dare try anything other than 5 at the back. The two should be Tezgel (who will score given the chance) and possibly Lankester. Moult should be considered as a sub to be used to come on early enough to make an impact.
Maybe Mingi should be considered and/or Rankine. Someone to be a ball carrier and to be an alternative to the CBs hoofing long balls.
O'Reilly is due a rest and we need Lunt in there somewhere for a bit of steel.
However, I've lost my faith in LB taking us forward so I don't expect a lot from this game.
3-0 loss.

I agree with Gazan completely. I would also like to see two up front but doubt it will happen due to the five at the back. It doesn?t matter who it is if they?re completely isolated. This is going to be until the new year so I would like to see Texgel given a start and the time in those months to show his worth with Lankester up there with him. Saying that, Moult hasn?t been given the time yet to show his worth but he isn?t going to be able to tear around the pitch like March did. We did look more of a threat last week (compared to large parts of the game, not the first 20 mins) when Mingi and Rankine came on. I think March is such a loss it essentially tears up the team sheet and we need to play very differently.

It would be much better to have five at the front which was the case for a hundred years and so who decided one at the front is better as they keep losing with the defensive set up anyway and the fans hate that system as well. The whole purpose of the game was to entertain and score goals. What idiot changed that system. Have they no brains to think things out?Originally posted by Harlzed View PostI agree with Gazan completely. I think a loss today 3-1

Its not often you hear LB criticise his players but he thought his team didn't try to win that game and were too laid back or being lazy? When that happens then players need to be changed or even the management team as the squad is not responding any more....Maybe I have that wrong but a 3-0 defeat and going from being top of the league to 12th now suggests something has changed and so what is it?

A recipe for disaster we have developed. Regularly letting in really soft goals littered with our own mistakes and not being able to score at the other end.
What's happened to some of our players since the beginning of the season I don't know and can't explain. Hutchinson and O'Reilly are prime examples of this. Also our deadline signings appear to be of a panic nature. Rankine and Mingi having played for next to no time at all.
Just a few of my thoughts above, where do we go from here?

I didn?t expect to win yesterday away against one of the best teams in the league. The manner of how we concede goals always gives concern though. Soft goals again with players not picked up. I think the full backs aren?t strong defensively, Hutchinson being better going forward than defensively. Connolly, apart from a couple of games isn?t at this level. However, with such an experienced captain you would expect him to have an influence and the team learn from him. As much as I really like him as a player, I do wonder if he hadn?t have had that strong goal return for a defender in his first season would we now hold him in such high esteem. A lot of the goals we concede results in the defenders all looking at each other saying how did that happen. Maybe it?s the quality of players around him (it is to a large part) and in some games he is so influential but we just don?t improve in that respect. He may be the captain but he has to follow instructions like others I suppose, in which case he must be as fed up as anyone.

We may be losing matches but i i parts of our game we are excellent. 1. We manage to pack our defence but never mark opponents. 2. Superb at hoofball. 3. Statistically we are the best team in the 5 divusionsat kising [pssession casually..
7 points from a possible27. You have to give credit to our management for their consustency in 2025. Total rubbish. But you have to admit they try. For each different opponent they change the tactics. For goodness sake supporters face reality. We are a c;ub in crisis c

The problem with clubs is there are so few strikers in football now as each season all managers do is have one or two strikers in the team and then when injury strikes you are fu****. Where are the fast wingers clubs had like ours did many years ago? Non existent nowadays. I don't know about academies but us spending over a million pounds a season on one is the biggest joke of the lot!
We are well and truly buggered now. Mid table will be a bonus!

Mike what is more a problem at the moment is our under21 team. Played 10 games, wins 1 draws 2 losses 7, 5 points from a possible 30. All this team is doing is creating a team of losers. This is the 3rd season the results have been similar, yet the same manager is still in charge. Unbelievable.Originally posted by MikeSB View PostWhere is our striker force now?

Well, we were backfoot to start, but played our way through that, but you can't give away 2 x goals to a team like MK Dons. We in 10 minute patches ok, but totally agree the last third of the pitch, we look clueless. Also deadball delivery was appalling, we practice this all week, but appears that they forgot everything!. I asked for a winger and proving width and getting behind their defence. All I saw was a lack of last ball into danger areas, then reverting to long hopeful ball from the back bypassing midfield. March will be solely missed and appears we have no penetration without him. Artell must be thinking the stars align, coming to Gresty Road this weekend! Be amazed if we get a point.
