Unless I missed any news coming out of the club can anyone shed any light on the guy's invisibility. No participation at all since the last nine minutes against Bromley, meaning he has been totally overlooked for a league game, two under 21 games and a Vertue game. There's been no mention of him in the injury bulletins as far as I know. I wonder if he has seen his back side over the lack of first team involvement or is there an innocent explanation?

The big problem imv is the lack of visibility of the Chairman, the Directors and the Coaches, even the Players as the fans should see and hear a lot more about their club and not some once or twice a season?Originally posted by MeForCrewe View PostUnless I missed any news coming out of the club can anyone shed any light on the guy's invisibility. There is no reason why they cannot answer questions on the main club board.
Anyone noticed that it has become easier to post on here today? Just one input by me...

I agree, it is odd. But I suspect, having signed him, LB doesn't know how to fit him in. To some extent the same is true of Rankine (though, despite scoring, he didn't otherwise impress against Liverpool kids last week). And talking of that, why isn't the Wolves loanee' playing in the Vertue matches?Originally posted by MeForCrewe View PostUnless I missed any news coming out of the club can anyone shed any light on the guy's invisibility. Lots of recruitment that can't be fitted in. Either the recruitment policy was wrong or the tactics/formation is. Or both!

I think the way to fit Mingi in would be to play Billington at Centre Half along side Mickey D. Alternatively (Just looking for my tin hat) is as a wing back, which also probably is better for Hutchinson.Originally posted by gazan View PostI agree, it is odd. I'd have no problem with Billington being beinga centre back. Even in a 3 (I need to borrow your tin hat here) alongside Golding and Mickey. Mingi then would be a proper RWB and introduce a lot more attacking players.Originally posted by Timmy58 View PostI think the way to fit Mingi in would be to play Billington at Centre Half along side Mickey D. A back 3 COULD be an attacking line up with 2 WBs, 3 midfield and 2 up front. This could provide lots of attack down either wing feeding 2 strikers. Choosing the personnel to fit into this would be tricky as some regulars would be left out. The 3rd midfielder could double up as a number 10.
Just a thought. Couldn't be worse!

Sorry Gazan, you need to get your own tin hat! Yes, 3 center backs doesn't have to be defensive. In fact 5 a the back it the two wide men are wing backs. A five becomes a three when we have the ball and reverts to a five when we haven't.Originally posted by gazan View PostI'd have no problem with Billington being beinga centre back. Its complicated as the players cannot play to these 5 at the back stuff and we have no midfield. I criticised what happened in the match against Bromley and what I thought was the left back who was around the edge line of the penalty area and he passed the ball to Micky who passed the ball back to him and then the full back ran back towards the middle of the penalty area and then lost the ball it in a tackle with their striker. Goal down!Originally posted by Timmy58 View PostSorry Gazan, you need to get your own tin hat! Yes, 3 center backs doesn't have to be defensive. You lads then said it wasn't a left back but a midfield player and I saw the number 6 another midfield player ?near the half way line. It would seem the players have no idea where to play and Mickey seems to short and too old and not able to be a CH and loses the ball a lot to fast attacking players.
What I mean is its all a load of codswallop wih the players having no idea of how to play to the tactics of the multitude of managers and coaches and why for 0ver 100 years football was clear in having two full backs, a centre half and two midfield players and five forwards until the idiots got control of the game.
We need to go back to what worked for a 100 years and ditch all this nonsense and all the managers and coaches and I will keep saying it until ut sinks in...LOL..
it never makes sense to have more non players than players at any football club...But it is a great thing for all those ex players who would be working at B&Q now unless you sign for Liverpool at 107million pounds which is a disgusting dagger through the heart of the profession. Which God came up with 5 subs nowadays? The employment exchange?Last edited by MikeSB; 21-10-2025, 10:32 PM.

We see these players on match days only, if they are selected in the squad. One can only assume that they are not doing enough in training to get the nod. I suspect Mingi may be a tad short on fitness but I may be wrong.Originally posted by MeForCrewe View PostMingi promoted to the bench yesterday, he must be back in favour. Rankine must really be scratching his head after signing a two year deal.
