The Zamora chant from QPR is getting a bit boring now 11 years on. Also appeared to be a fair few of them ejected.

Got back late last night. Case was much heavier than on the way there due to having 6 points nicely tucked away. Langas immense again. Bobby Clark finally showed what he is capable of. Another Morris goal, this time with Langas as provider. One Neppy regular said I should stay an extra week. I said yes, provided you pay the divorce lawyer.
Not perfect but we looked far better. Hopefully another 3 points at the Blades this Saturday.
Was talking to one fan who was complaining about the number of goals we're scoring. I replied that, taking into account the number of chances our strikers get provided with, that it's hardly surprising.

One more thing. Jackson. I have voiced my doubts as to his ability several times. He proved me right just before full time. Haring off down the left wing. I forget which player it was, I think Brewster, busting a gut down the inside right channel. A telling pass when he got to the halfway would have put Brewster in, 1 on 1, with the keeper. Jacko never looked up but kept on running and eventually had the ball taken off him.

Trivia time. Just been sorting out some stuff and found, coincidentally, a programme v QPR which happens to be exactly a decade old tomorrow.
Two questions, without cheating, who are the two current Derby players to be found in that squad and, who from the same squad, is generally regarded as being amongst the biggest waste of money signings we’ve ever made?

Correct for 1. Not many bad players in that squad, but one stand out disappointment, imo, although tbf I was looking at those that started the previous game, a 3-0 win at Rotherham, to follow on from wins against Brentford, Wolves and Huddersfield and a draw at Blackburn.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostWould have to be Forsyth and Weimann for Q1. Anya or Blackman?
Probably too early for Anya thinking about it. So go with Blackman.Last edited by SithHappens; 02-11-2025, 03:45 PM.

Me too, but yep…Jacob Butterfield, now at Gateshead.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostButterfield? Or even Johnson although I always thought Johnson was ok
Carson, Christie, Keogh, Shackell, Forsyth, Johnson, Thorne, Butterfield, Weimann, Martin, Russell shouldn’t have been a bad side. Wonder how they’d get on against the current lot? Think I prefer today’s bunch.Last edited by ramAnag; 02-11-2025, 04:15 PM.

I didn't even think Butterfield was that bad, the problem was his price tag. We weren't a bad side, we were top weren't we at new year? Went downhill in January when we signed Blackman and Clements seemed to want to shoehorn him in.
Reckon there must have been worse signings in the late Smith or Todd days, or even in the January under jewell in the PL

I think we were top around New Year, but it certainly flattered us and there were definitely worse signings. You’ve named two of them, but JB was a bad one imo.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostI didn't even think Butterfield was that bad, the problem was his price tag.
