**** me we ahve won again!! Only 2pts off playoffs, NOT that I'm saying we will be there but just shows put a run together and a team shoots up the table!

I'm going to predict 1-1 draws for every game now, can't break the spell!!

Tad lucky tonight and indebted to one or two great saves. Thought we looked really good at times in the first half, but increasingly nervous and anxious after the equaliser. Hull looked decent and we might easily have settled for a point. Now beginning to look increasingly capable of mid table security at the least - which didn’t look so likely a couple of weeks ago - and good to see some purposeful substitutions which strengthened us for the closing moments.

Really pleased for Salvesen who has been forced onto the bench for no reason other than Morris is doing the biz. And how does the ball find its way onto Matt Clarke's head so reliably?

Good win against a good side. You could say the goal was lucky but good play to put keeper under pressure. Roll on Saturday. Who would think we would be this close to the play offs after the start we had.

Plenty to please and also to upset all 4 of my hats in that game, be that the fan, the player, the coach or the ref.

The fan saw an entertaining game where both sides' intention was to win.

The player in me saw some neat passing come together, intelligent runs made, good defending...

The coach saw plans work and other plans fail. Commitment, work rate...

The ref in me saw officials, not for the first time this season letting the game flow and ignoring fouls both ways...

Morris' goal? If we had VAR that would have been chalked off for "taking a ride" on the defender's shoulders.

Their keeper was lucky to still be on the park following "handballgate".

We were the better side 1st half, they had the better of the 2nd half. All game we were susceptible to the through ball (more so 1st half) and the ball over the top (2nd). On occasions we still showed an inability to clear our lines and thereby keep ourselves under pressure.

Salvesen got the only yellow card of the game, for kicking the ball away. Ref could/should have given a good half a dozen or more but chose to let the game flow.

As you know, I'm not a fan of all the shirtpulling or the WWE shenanigans at corners, free kicks and long throws. There was a surfeit of it yesterday, from both sides.

Both sides excellent at times, less than average at others. A bit of everything that makes the game so exciting, so enjoyable and so frustrating, all encompassed in 90 odd minutes of football.

Right chuffed for Salvesen. It took a long time to get fit following his op and, once fit, he was being kept out of the starting XI by the good form of Morris. 8th appearance of the season last night, all from the bench and I don't think they all add up to a total of 90 minutes yet. Great work by Weimann to force the mistake by the keeper, great composure from Salvesen to put it away despite the keeper trying to handle outside his area for a 2nd time and failing. Despite not actually touching the ball, Weimann, according to the beeb, has been accredited with the assist and I think that's a correct decision. (generally accepted assist criteria is a player who provides the final touch that directly leads to a goal, most commonly through a pass or cross). If he'd not closed down the keeper and forced the error, Lars would naver have got the opportunity to score.

Onwards and upwards. Currently 11th and 2 points off the playoff places. Depending on the QPR, Swansea and Wrexham results tonight we could be as low as 14th and still just 2 points off the playoffs. The League is very tight in the upper regions but we currently have 11 points over Sheff U in 22nd.

4 wins on the spin and an encouraging gap away from Sheff U and Co, can't be bad.
Great for Salvesen who's had it rough since joining us. Competition for Morris
and now he's fit gives us more options up front.
As Swale says a run of wins and we shoot up the table which now has a far more pleasant look about it. Long may it continue!

How about we have a front 3 of a "winger" type who can put decent crosses in and two strikers, both of whom can play the target man role?

Morris, Salvesen and take your pick from Brewster, CBT, BBD.
