A medical escort? Most likely a Romanian then as most escorts in Greece stem from there. May your blood count exceed your sperm count, as the old Hellene expression goes.....

Looks like Tuesday travel home because if the requirement to have a medical escort. Because not all airlines allow this its looking like doubling travel time home as will have to fly to hamburg, then to birmingham.
So while I get the safety aspect of having a medical escort the fact I've got 2 take offs and landings and hanging around puts me more at risk than just a direct flight.
Not much I can do though.

Doesn’t seem to make much sense. Might it be because it’s the busiest time of year and they’re having to search for flights?Originally posted by SithHappens View PostLooks like Tuesday travel home because if the requirement to have a medical escort. Anyway, at least it’s progress. Good luck. Hope you’re able to be at PP next Friday. They need you, along with quite a few other things on the evidence of this lunchtime.

I think being at PP will be a push next Friday, even if my stay in derby royal is short I've got a feeling I will be really tired. At least it's on sky.
I've made the mistake in the past of rushing back to work when sick (the 1st time I was hospitalised due to my condition I worked from my hospital bed), but this time they can wait I'm getting signed off for a period so i can properly get right. Also going to make sure sick note is dated from my hospital admittance date so can get my annual leave back.
I've never been one to do that sort of thing but this time I'm putting myself first.

Deffo agree Sith, you don't get any better thought of for rushing back. Make yourself number one (and two and three)!Originally posted by SithHappens View PostI think being at PP will be a push next Friday, even if my stay in derby royal is short I've got a feeling I will be really tired. As rA says the Rams need you, boy do they need every bit of help available!

It really has been a crap couple of weeks. Getting admitted to hospital is bad enough. Discovered a few days ago and old mate from school days had died suddenly unexpected. My mate sent me a picture yesterday of 6 of us when we would have been mid ****s and hit me 2 of us are now dead. The other lad died when he was just 29. With what's happened to me it's really making me think about my mortality.
Yesterday my Aunt died having had a stroke a few days ago.
Lost another Aunt a couple of months ago.

Sith happens. Here's to you having had more than your fair share and being on the way to a lengthy period of good fortune.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostIt really has been a crap couple of weeks. Unfortunately that’s what happens Sith. I’ve lost a couple of great friends this year including one of my very best mates. Saying goodbye to him, knowing the end was utterly inevitable, was horrible but, as MA says, it’s what happens, increasingly so as we get older.Originally posted by SithHappens View PostIt really has been a crap couple of weeks. You concentrate on yourself and take mac’s advice. Your health comes first, always, and you should never feel guilty about taking time away from work when you are genuinely unwell. Get yourself sorted and better times could well be just around the corner.

As Inspector Morse said..... Beer is food!Originally posted by SithHappens View PostWhat makes it worse is there is a cafe downstairs and it has a fridge with beers in. This just seems cruel to me lol. Not had food for 2 weeks now and can only sip water.
I'm focusing on being home home and pouring myself a nice cold beer.

Just another to add into the nightmare holiday category. It was obvious on holiday that SIL and husband were going through a tough time. He drinks too much, to the point he was out of it most days, sometimes even during the afternoon. This was causing bug issues, obviously runs deeper than just the holiday, but looks like they are splitting up. This is hard for my wife now as she's not there for her sister at home.
I think I might write a book about this bloody holiday.
