Wow. Said we’d have to rethink those predictions . Eames looked very decent too, but how good were Clarke and Clark?

Potentially anyone could have been MOM but I think the unheralded hero was Ozoh - did the holding / defensive role faultlessly

Wowza! I don't think anyone saw that coming! We'll be getting nose bleeds at this position in the table! Last time Derby were in the top 6 of the championship anyone?

Last 5-0 away win was in 1959. I was 5 at the time. That was, IMO, the quintessential away performance. 39% possession, 15 shots to their 7, 7 on target to their 1 and I could have saved that. They were completely nullified by us and everything clicked.

Tad unlucky with Eames chance that got deflected onto the bar. Possibly a tad lucky with the Clark goal as I think he was a gnat's knacker offside.

Cracking performances all round. From O'Donnell doing the little he had to well. A back 4 that worked well. 2 DMs that controlled much of the game. A front 4 that all got on the scoresheet, all but one got an assist. Nice cameo from Eames and Salvesen, who many fans online have been saying should leave, had another cracking cameo. Starting to look match fit and the only way to get there is to... play matches. Last night's starting front 4 with Lars pushing them and Carlton about to return, what's not to like? Just need to have home game plans that get the best out of our players.

Ozoh was, IMO, unlucky with his early yellow. It wasn't even a foul. He was where he was, didn't move to get in the player's way, the bloke simply ran into him. Did the ref expect him to spontaneously evaporate?

Their player who took Eames out cynically was lucky to escape a yellow.

Really encouraging performance. Home next and these tactics don't work there...

So thats season abjective number one complete. January is not yet done but we cannot mathematically finish bottom of the league. Onwards and upwards toward the 50 point mark JE wants next.....

                    That's the spirit following a 5-0 win
But yes, get over the safety line is the most important job.

JE has said 50. Wanting to keep aspirations down.

That'll do me, after last seasons knife edge a solid mid to upper table finish will do nicely.
One can see a squad containing some real quality developing so the solid foundation that is being built following Clowes involvement is what's needed.

Indeed. BBD didn't impress but then, around Christmas it started to gel. He's been very good the past 5 or so weeks. Has he finally got used to his colleagues or, as I suspect, have they got used to him?

Noises from PP suggest Morris is nearing a return. 4 places up top available. Brewster, BBD, Salvesen, Clark, Morris, Aggy, Weimann and I'd add Banel in as he can play both wings. That's a top attacking group.
