  • football shirt rip off.

They have just released the new football shirts for the Netherlands. There's options. Home and away plus authentic and replica. The authentic ones are 100% the same as those worn by the players (possibly apart from the sizes being, on the whole, larger ) and replica ones which are similar but without some of the intricacies of the authentic ones like non-sweat material etc.

Price? Authentic 159 euro, replica 109 euro. That's 137 gbp and 94 gbp respectively.

Derby's are cheaper but not bought one of our 25/26 ones either.

I’m afraid that if people are daft enough to pay those amounts they have more money than sense and nothing will change.
Tbh replica kits are primarily for kids and teenagers and imo older and ‘bulkier’ individuals who insist on wearing shirts designed with super fit athletes in mind look faintly ridiculous anyway. If they’re then going to pay 137 quid for one all they’re doing is proving it.

If I'm going to buy a DCFC shirt, I wait for the discount to get applied... still fit every one I have ever bought. My favaourite, the 98/99 orange EDS sponsored away shirt cost a tenner and still fits

I've never been one for club, country or 'band' T shirts (I have one, Rush R40 and unlike RP mine nowhere near fits me) and agree if folk are daft enough to pod out the 'real thing' it sort of justifies the price.

There’s fitting and fitting, RP. I’m sure I’d still fit a L but not in the same way as Agyemang does and at 72 and the wrong side of 14 stones I think I’d look a tad delusional.
They really suit my grandkids and I’ve been asked to get hold of an away shirt for the 13 year old from Germany in time for the Stoke match. Cost about 30 quid and he’ll look great…me…not so.
I still like the old fashioned rugby shirt look, but not the modern Lycra skin tight versions - great for backs, not so good for fans or even front row forwards - and once we enter the world of XL and XXL…well let’s just say, each to their own, but they’re not for me.

This season's Derby top was 25.00 at the last game. Good price even if the season nearly done.

I do but a top but only every 2 or 3 season. Oh for the days the kit lasted 2 years.
