Your Sunday ticket holders look like getting enough cricket to avoid full refunds Mac

Easy win in the end but fair does to NZ they showed some grit on a ploughed field. I reckon on a half decent strip they'll be a much tougher nut to crack.

I give them 5 out of 10 for their overall performance though their butterfingers fielders didn't help their cause.
England get 7.5 mainly for some excellent bowling (the wicket certainly suited mind you) though overall the batters can't brag!
I make the pitch the clear winner with a maximum 10, just tear it up and start again.
Yes GP at least the Sunday customers saw some cricket and a home victory.

Not sure how they do it, mac. Agree it needs serious attention but they’ve invested so much in the stadium and have such an itinerary of tests and finals coming up then how do they go about it?
Sure I heard Simon Doull say the other day that to do it properly would mean no cricket for two years.

            'no cricket for two years'!

Well that wasn't Test standard so what's the difference?

The only alternative is to dump the place until it's sorted but of course they won't do that so it's Mickey Mouse stuff indefinitely because it seems the square can only get worse?
Hopefully the Oval will just emphasise how dog ****e that strip is!

What is going on. We put in a decent performance at long last and immediately our captain and five wicket bowler are under investigation for their behaviour in a nightclub. Depressing!

From a playing perspective Stokes is looking less critical to performance and his place could be under review anyway. As a captain he's becoming a bit of a Brearley of late. So another suspension for a game wouldn't be that much of an issue

What a mess. Feel sorry for Root, the one grown up left amongst the senior players since the likes of Broad, Cook and Jimmy retired.
Such a pity that talented players, especially Stokes, seem unable to follow their own rules.
Wonder how the players will feel next week no longer being led out by ‘Captain Fantastic’. Hopefully they’ll have a lot to prove and respond to Root’s example both as a player and a man. Good luck JR.

The England team for the 2nd Test going to have a strange look, a touch of the New Faces with names I no little or should I say sod all about!
Oh well good luck to them!

Archer back to replace another injured bowler. Deaf leading the blind kind of scenario? Two players out suspended, 1 injured... and that's before a ball has been bowled. Weather permitting I expect to see more runs than in the 1st Test.

So we get rid of the final ginger in the team, and get two new gingers. Is there no end to DEI? And of course we also get a Baker, almost thus a third Ginger
