Agreed, although I’m guessing MA’s lemon dip was Ian Dury.

Actually, Bee Gees "you should be dancin' " the original line is "What ya doin' on your back"

Garden Man is of course Bowie's Modern Love and was actually God and man.

Has John Fogerty just mis bought that line back after 50 odd years?

            • I'’ll give you a clue for the first one, got this wrong for 40 years. I'’ve starred out the object name of the song to make it slightly tricky

              'Oohoohooh ms *****, scab'n’matter puke in place’…really spoils a beautiful 1975 (I think) number 1

And one that got me in hot water with an ents representative at a uni gig in Notts, a number 10 in 1973

‘Sam Spade said you rock’n’rollers, you’re all the same’

              • It was only at an Elbow gig in Nottingham last year that Mrs rA realised she had been happily singing ‘build a rocking horse’ instead of ‘build a rocket boys’. For the last 13 years!

Yes that was in the package. Nice to see him croaking away as Glasto last week, I cam late to appreciation of Creedence

That Bee Gees one is the ultimate in undecipherable vocals

                        • There's an online duvet and duvet cover company over here, called Dekbed. They have a TV ad where, at the end, a voice gives the company name. Form the very first time I heard it I was convinced the voice was saying dirt bag.
